摘要: A semi-transmissive-type liquid crystal display device is provided which is capable of preventing an electric erosion reaction between a reflective film made of Al (aluminum) or an Al alloy and a transparent electrode film made of ITO or a like (Indium Tin Oxide) and of inhibiting occurrence of a flicker caused by a residual DC (Direct Current) voltage in the reflective film. In the semi-transmissive-type of a liquid crystal display device, a transmissive region to provide light from a backlight source and a reflective region to receive ambient light are placed in a pixel region and a transparent electrode film is formed above a reflective film formed in the reflective region on an active matrix substrate with a second passivation film being interposed between the reflective film and the transparent electrode film.

摘要: A data delivery system providing multipoint delivery of encrypted digital data to specific destinations. A plurality of pieces of key information are generated on the basis of an encryption key specific to each digital data item to be delivered. The multiple pieces of key information are delivered over routes which differ from the routes used to deliver the digital data and which further differ from each other. Physically different media or transmission over a network at different times are used to separately transmit different sets of key information.

摘要: It is an object of the present invention to realize, in a coating and developing apparatus including an inspection section, reduction in the startup time, cost reduction, and an improved operating rate of the inspection section. In the present invention, a control program of the coating and developing apparatus is set such that a processing flow and an inspection flow can be independently executed, the processing flow being a flow in which a substrate is carried to a processing station from a cassette station to be processed in the processing station and an aligner and thereafter is returned to the cassette station, and the inspection flow being a flow in which the substrate is carried from the cassette station to an inspection station to be inspected there, and is thereafter returned to the cassette station. At startup of the coating and developing apparatus, the inspection flow and the processing flow are executed, and an evaluation work of an inspection unit of the inspection station and an adjustment work of a processing unit in the processing station can proceed simultaneously. When the inspection station is idle, a substrate can be carried from an external part to the cassette station to be inspected there.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to improve the operation efficiency of a substrate processing apparatus while ensuring the safety of an operator who performs maintenance of the apparatus. The present invention is a substrate processing apparatus including a substrate unit capable of housing a substrate and a substrate carrier unit for carrying the substrate to the substrate unit, in a casing, including: an outer wall panel detachably attached to the casing at a position opposed to the substrate unit; a shut-off mechanism capable of shutting a first space within which the substrate unit is located off from a second space other than the first space within which the substrate carrier unit is located, in the casing, the first space being opened to the outside of the casing by detaching the outer wall panel; a shut-off mechanism operating member for operating the shut-off mechanism to shut the first space off from the second space; and an interlock mechanism for stopping motion of the whole in the casing when the outer wall panel is detached. The apparatus has an interlock disabling mechanism for disabling the interlock mechanism when the shut-off mechanism shuts the first space off from the second space.

摘要: A system and method for performing optical inspection of structures on the surface of a semiconductor wafer. The wafer surface is illuminated with a polychromatic light source. A multiple-charged couple-device (CCD) camera is positioned to capture light diffracted by the structures on the wafer surface at the first order of diffraction. The captured light is then separated into a plurality of component wavelengths which are directed onto the CCDs. A digital filter creates a plurality of digitized diffractive images of the wafer surface at different component wavelengths. The diffractive images may be integrated and analyzed to detect defects in the structures, or may be, analyzed individually. An image at a particular wavelength may be selected and analyzed by using the known grating pitch of the structures to calculate the wavelength.
