    Abstract: A sealing member fitting apparatus includes a sealing member transfer device that switches between a sealing member receiving position where the sealing member transfer device faces a sealing member holding device provided with a hollow sealing member and a sealing member fitting position where the sealing member transfer device faces an electrical wire clamping device. The sealing member transfer device receives the sealing member in the sealing member receiving position and fits the sealing member on a covering end portion of the electrical wire in the sealing member fitting position. An electrical wire insertion guide device is disposed between the sealing member transfer device and the electrical wire clamping device and is slidable along the electrical wire from a lead-out member to the covering end portion. The sealing member transfer device positions a central axis of the covering end portion substantially coaxially with a central axis of the sealing member.

    Abstract: A control device for an internal combustion engine comprising: a knocking sensor for detecting a knocking signal of the internal combustion engine; a band pass filter for extracting a knocking signal of a predetermined frequency band from the output signal of the knocking sensor; a high pass filter comprising a capacitor and a resistor for extracting an AC component from the output of the band pass filter; a rectifying circuit having a one-way conducting element and a resistor for achieving positive half waves from the AC output of the high pass filter; and a peak hold circuit for detecting a peak value from positive half wave pulses output from the rectifying circuit, holding the peak value for a predetermined time and outputting the peak value to ignition timing control, wherein the one-way conducting element of the rectifying circuit is constructed as a negative voltage clipping mechanism for achieving positive half waves by short-circuiting negative half waves, and also with respect to each of the circuit elements constituting the high pass filter and the rectifying circuit, each constant thereof is set so that the charging time constant and the discharging time constant to the capacitor are equal to each other.

    Abstract: A device for controlling the ignition timing for internal combustion engines correctly detecting fault of a knocking sensor over the whole rotational range of the engine. The device for controlling the ignition timing takes out knocking signals and produces an ignition timing control signal relying upon the knocking signals, and comprises a knocking sensor 1, a microcomputer 2 for producing a fault detection execution signal for executing the detection of fault of the knocking sensor and for applying a pulse voltage to the knocking sensor 1 relying upon the fault detection execution signal, comparison means 5 and 6 for comparing the charging voltage or discharging voltage of the knocking sensor 1 with two different threshold values, and logic means (NOR circuit) 7 for obtaining an OR of the outputs of the comparison means 5 and 6. The microcomputer 2 finds the sum of pulse widths output by the logic means during the period of detecting the fault and judges the fault of the knocking sensor relying upon the sum that is found of the pulse widths.

    Abstract: An electrical cable-making apparatus includes a cable-making area in which a shuttle mechanism (10) moves electrical wires (1) clamped therein from a first position to a second position at which the spaced wire ends are positioned between spaced parallel tapes (26). Clamping members (25c) move the tapes into engagement with the spaced wire ends and clamp the taped wire ends therebetween whereafter the shuttle mechanism (10) having been unclamped from the wire moves along the wires back to the first position. A wire-feeding mechanism (34, 38) feeds the wires (1) to a prescribed length and cutting and terminating members (61, 61a) cut the wires and terminate them in an electrical connector (2) thereby forming a cable with one end of the wires being taped and the other ends connected to a connector.
