    摘要: A magnesium alloy having excellent strength and elongation at high temperatures and further having excellent creep characteristics at high temperatures. Also provided is a process for producing the alloy. In producing the magnesium alloy, a magnesium alloy containing yttrium and samarium in respective specific amounts is cast and the resultant cast is subjected to a solution heat treatment, subsequently hot working, and then an aging treatment, thereby reducing the average crystal grain diameter of the structure. In addition, the amounts of the yttrium and samarium in solution in the magnesium matrix are balanced with the number of precipitate particles of a specific size in the crystal grains. The magnesium alloy thus obtained has excellent strength and elongation at high temperatures and further having excellent creep characteristics at high temperatures.

    摘要: A device (such as guidewire inserter) for easily and certainly inserting a medical long item having a curved tip into a tube such as catheter and sheath includes a tubular member having a bore for passage of a guidewire. The tubular member has a slit cutting across the wall over the total length of the tubular member. The proximal end of the tubular member has an aperture. The proximal end of the aperture has an open part and a connecting part adjacent thereto for the holder tube. There is a pair of wing-like protruded pieces projecting in the mutually opposite directions at both sides of the open part. The distal end of the tubular member has on its outer surface a pair of protruded rims, which project in the mutually opposite directions.

    摘要: A Zn—Al alloy excellent in elongation, and a method for producing the same are provided. The Zn—Al alloy comprises Zn in a range of 68 to 88% by mass and the remainder including Al and unavoidable impurities, and has a structure with β phases finely dispersed in respective α phases or respective α′ phases, not more than 5 μm in average grain size, a macrosegregation value of Al in the structure being less than 3%, wherein lamellar structures at a central part of the structure is at not higher than 30% by volume, and a difference in average hardness between the central part and a surface layer zone of the structure is not more than 15%, so that the Zn—Al alloy is improved in respect of elongation and uniformity.

    摘要: A disposable nozzle adapter for intranasal administration of a viscous medical solution in combination with a spray container, which comprises a cylindrical body, a rod arranged in the body, and a nozzle tip. The body has a cylindrical chamber and a central bore communicated with the chamber through a channel for attachment of the spray container. The rod is provided on its one end at the least with a small-sized portion and middle-sized portion. The nozzle tip has a top wall and a cylindrical portion extending therefrom, the top wall being provided with a central spray opening including a tapered recess, and swirl grooves extending outwardly from the tapered recess to the inner surface of the cylindrical portion. The swirl grooves have a cross-sectional area increasing outwardly and its cross-sectional area is 0.03 to 0.08 mm.sup.2 at the minimum. The nozzle tip is fitted in the opening of the chamber of the body and engaged with the middle-sized portion of the rod to form an annular channel surrounding the small-sized portion of the rod and being communicated with the grooves.

    摘要: A material transfer apparatus of hollow fiber type is provided comprising tubular housing, a bundle of a plurality of hollow fiber membranes axially extending through the housing, a first fluid chamber defined by the outer surface of the hollow fibers and the inner surface of the housing, a first fluid inlet and a first fluid outlet both in fluid communication with the first chamber for passing a dialysate into and out of the first chamber, partitions supporting the opposite ends of the hollow fibers and isolating the fiber end from the first chamber, and a second fluid inlet and a second fluid outlet both in fluid communication with the interior space of the hollow fibers for passing a blood into and out of the fiber interior space. Flowpath forming members each having an elastomeric annular member integrally molded thereto are mounted on opposite ends of the housing. The elastomeric member is secured in pressure contact to the partition to provide a fluid-tight seal between the partition and the flowpath member.

    摘要: Disclosed is a lightweight aluminum based alloy that is high in strength and elongation properties at high temperatures of around 200° C. to 300° C. and has excellent workability in hot working. Disclosed also is a heat-resistant aluminum based alloy excellent in wear resistance and rigidity. Specifically, an aluminum based alloy contains, in terms of percent by mass, 5% to 10% of Mn; 0.5% to 5% of V; 0.5% to 5% of Cr; 0.5% to 5% of Fe; 1% to 8% of Si; 0.5% to 5% of Ni, with the balance being aluminum and inevitable impurities. The aluminum based alloy has a structure including 35 to 80 percent by volume of an intermetallic compound phase with the balance being an aluminum metal matrix.
