    摘要： Methods and apparatus are disclosed for loading a therapeutic substance or drug within a lumenal space of a hollow wire having a plurality of side openings along a length thereof that forms a hollow drug-eluting stent with a plurality of side drug delivery openings. Loading a drug within the lumenal space of the hollow stent includes a drug filling step, in which the drug is mixed with a solvent or dispersion medium. The lumenal space may be filled with the drug solution or suspension in a reverse fill process and/or a forward fill process. After the drug filling step, a solvent or dispersion medium extracting step is performed to extract the solvent or dispersion medium from within the lumenal space such that only the drug remains within the hollow stent. A stent cleaning step may be performed to an exterior surface of the hollow stent.

    摘要： An apparatus and a method controls a heating device in a laundry ironer. The apparatus includes a frame and an ironer cylinder. The ironer cylinder rotatably connects to the frame and has an interior surface and an exterior surface. The interior and exterior surfaces extend substantially from a first end to a second end of the ironer cylinder. A line of sight temperature sensor connects to the frame near the first end wherein a line of sight of the sensor is directed at a portion of the interior surface of the cylinder. As the ironer cylinder rotates and is heated by a heating element, the temperature of a portion of the interior surface is sensed. Based on the temperature and a threshold, the state of the heating element is changed.

    摘要： Radiation-sensitive compositions which are especially useful in the production of negative-working lithographic printing plates comprise a photocrosslinkable polymer containing the photosensitive group ##STR1## as an integral part of the polymer backbone and, in an amount sufficient to improve the properties of the composition, both a polymer of vinyl pyrrolidone and an unsaturated polyester such as a polyester derived from fumaric acid and a 4,4'-isopropylidine-diphenol. The combination of a polymer of vinyl pyrrolidone and an unsaturated polyester improves the properties of the radiation-sensitive composition in regard to such factors as shelf life, image contrast, developability and ink receptivity and thereby provides a superior lithographic printing plate.

    摘要： A grain dryer is disclosed in which a blower forces air past a burner and then through a duct into a bin made of oppositely curved columns of grain defining between them and an end wall a plenum chamber for drying the grain in the bin. The invention resides in the use of a plurality of spaced baffles of particular configuration designed to take a stream of air of non-uniform pressure and temperature over a cross section of the stream, and transforming said stream into a stream in the plenum chamber of substantially uniform pressure and temperature over any cross section thereof, said stream, if desired, having a predetermined temperature gradient lengthwise of the bin which compensates for a lengthwise dryness gradient in the grain in the bin.
