A torque output restricting device is configured to restrict an output torque of a driving source of the vehicle when the starting clutch is in a transient engagement state and the cumulative work amount exceeds a first specific value.

An engine control unit 60 for the transmission TM, while the rotational direction is set for a reverse drive, changes the ratio of the metal V-belt mechanism 20 in the direction where the vehicle speed increases by a predetermined ratio and controls the torque input from the engine ENG such that the torque being transmitted to the driving wheels DRW achieves approximately the same magnitude as that achieved while the rotational direction is set for a forward drive.

An engine control apparatus for a vehicle, having a continuously variable transmission, coupled to an engine which generates a drive force, for driving wheels, so that, when the vehicle is in a stop-event, to enable stopping or restarting of operation of the engine in response to specific driving conditions, comprising: a fuel supply cut device for stopping operation of the engine while continuing to cut supply of fuel to the engine, when the vehicle is in a deceleration event; a vehicle velocity detector for detecting a traveling velocity of the vehicle; and a deceleration detector for detecting deceleration of the vehicle, wherein the fuel supply cut device reverts from a fuel supply cut condition when a traveling velocity of the vehicle detected by the vehicle velocity detector is lower than a predetermined velocity and a deceleration detected by the deceleration detector is higher than a predetermined deceleration.

    摘要: A vehicular transmission including an engine, a continuously variable transmission CVT and a starting clutch. The driving force from the engine is transmitted through the continuously variable transmission CVT with a speed change to a countershaft, and the starting clutch is used to transmit this driving force from the countershaft to wheels of a vehicle. The continuously variable transmission CVT is hydraulically controlled by a control valve CV which receives control signals through a line from an electrical control unit ECU. After the vehicle has decelerated and stopped, and after the engine has stopped by an idling elimination control, the electrical current that controls the control valve CV is adjusted almost to zero.
