    摘要: A cooling structure for a rotary electric machine uses coolant to cool coil end portions that protrude outward, one from each end surface of a stator core, in a stator that includes a stator core and coils that are wound in a circumferential direction of the stator core. This cooling structure includes a lead side cover member that covers a lead side coil end portion to which a lead wire that supplies electricity to the coils is connected, and forms a first coolant chamber within which coolant is stored; and a non-lead side cover member that covers a non-lead side coil end portion positioned opposite the lead side coil end portion in the axial direction, and forms a second coolant chamber within which coolant is stored. A coolant communicating path is provided that communicates the first and second coolant chambers in a manner that enables coolant to flow therebetween.

When the motor temperature of an MG(2) exceeds a threshold temperature, an ECU moves from a running mode that uses the MG(2) only, to a running mode that limits the load on the MG(2). The ECU performs control in accordance with the charging state of the battery for running, such that the work rate of an electric pump for cooling the MG(2) is increased when the charging state is higher, and the running mode that uses the MG(2) only is maintained.

    摘要: In a control of a motive power apparatus for a hybrid vehicle, the coil temperatures of first and second rotary electric machines and an air pressure index value are acquired, and upper limit values of the outputs of the machines are determined on the basis of the values acquired. If the output of one of the machines is restricted by the determined upper limit value of the output, the output of the other is increased. Alternatively, the upper limit values of the outputs of rotary electric machines are determined by applying the acquired coil temperatures to a relation between the coil temperature and the upper limit value of the output which relation is set for each air pressure index value. If the output of one of the first and the second rotary electric machines is restrained by the determined upper limit values, the output of the other is increased.

The oil pump unit includes a mechanical oil pump and an electric oil pump.

    摘要: A vehicle drive device having two independent systems provided for two driving wheels, respectively, each system including a rotating electrical machine, an output member to be connected to a corresponding driving wheel, and a drive transmission system. The transmission also includes a counter deceleration mechanism, which connects the rotating electrical machine and the output member to each other. A case integrally accommodates the rotating electrical machines, the output members, and the drive transmission systems of the two systems. The rotation axes are provided so that their respective rotation axes are parallel to each other, and are positioned so as to overlap each other in the rotation axis direction. The rotating electrical machine of each system is provided with an output portion located on one side of the rotating electrical machine which is distal from the corresponding driving wheel in the rotation axis direction of the rotating electrical machine.
