摘要: An inverter circuit for lighting discharge lamps with reduced power consumption is disclosed. The inverter circuit comprises: a transformer having a resonant circuit formed by a parasitic capacitance of a discharge lamp; an H-bridge circuit to drive a primary side of the transformer at a frequency which is less than a series resonant frequency of the resonant circuit, and at which phase difference in voltage and current at the primary side of the transformer falls within a predetermined range from its minimum; a logic circuit to produce, based on an output signal of an oscillating circuit, gate signals for driving the H-bridge circuit; and a step-up circuit to step up a DC supply voltage (Vcc) based on another output signal of the oscillating circuit, and to supply the logic circuit with the stepped up DC voltage as a supply voltage for producing the gate signals.

摘要: An apparatus and method for detecting foreign particle and defect on an object in detection by means of a laser beam, in which the laser beams of different wavelengths are irradiated onto the surface of the object in detection from different angles and the state of foreign particle and defect is separately detected according to the output level of the scattered light reflected from that surface. Further, it is arranged such that the scattered light reflected from the object onto which the laser beam is irradiated from the sole source or the plurality of sources is detected in plural directions, which detecting result is compared for the detection of the directivity of said scattered light in reflection.

摘要: An autofocusing apparatus of a telescope for automatically focusing on an object viewed within a field of view of the telescope through a distance-measuring zone arranged in the field of view, includes: a multi-point distance measuring device which divides the distance-measuring zone into at least three distance-measuring zones to detect an object distance on each of the distance-measuring zones; a lens driver which drives a focusing lens group of the telescope along an optical axis thereof; and a controller which controls the lens driver wherein the focusing lens group is moved to perform an autofocusing operation in accordance with a result of the each object distance detected by the multi-point distance measuring zones. The controller compares the each object distance detected by the multi-point distance measuring device with each other. If the controller determines that two object distances respectively detected on two distance-measuring zones among the aforementioned at least three distance-measuring zones are substantially the same, the two distance-measuring zones being separate from each other by at least one distance-measuring zone positioned therebetween, and that an object distance detected on one of the at least one distance-measuring zone is substantially double the distance of each of the two object distances which are substantially the same, the controller determines that each of the two object distances is a valid object distance so that the autofocusing operation is performed in accordance with the valid object distance.
