A sheet-like thermally conductive resin composition containing 70 to 95 wt. % inorganic filler and 5 to 30 wt. % thermosetting resin composition, a lead frame as a wiring pattern, and an electrically conductive heat sink with a metal pole placed therein are superposed, heated and compressed, and thus are combined to form one body. Consequently, a thermally conductive circuit board with a flat surface is obtained in which a grounding pattern is grounded to the heat sink inside the insulating layer. Thus, the grounding pattern and the heat sink can be connected electrically with each other in an arbitrary position inside the insulating layer of the thermally conductive circuit board. Accordingly, there are provided a thermally conductive circuit board with high heat dissipation, high conductivity and high ground-connection reliability, a method of manufacturing the same, and a power module allowing its size to be reduced and its density to be increased.

Thus, when a voltage at both ends of capacitor and a voltage at both ends of battery are substantially equal, heat is hardly generated. The limit value of the output current is set to a maximum current consumed by load. When a voltage at both ends of capacitor is higher than a voltage at both ends of battery, the limit value of the output current is set to be smaller than the second current value, and thereby heat generation is suppressed. Thus, the size of the heat dissipating components can be reduced, and a power supply system whose entire size can be minimized can be provided.

Provided is a switching power supply unit which uses a multilayer board or a stack of planar conductors as the windings of transformers so as to reduce the volume of the transformers and to have high efficiency, small size and small noise. The switching power supply unit is formed by connecting a plurality of capacitors (23), (24), (25) and (26) connected in series with each other to input terminals (22a) and (22b) of a plurality of switching power supplies having switching elements (27), (28), (29) and (30), transformers (31) and (32), and rectifiers (33), (34), (37) and (38). The switching power supply unit inputs the voltages of capacitors (23)-(26), and outputs the respective voltages developed by the plurality of switching power supplies together to common output terminals (40a) and (40b). The transformers (31) and (32) are each composed of windings made up of a stack of planar conductor coils. This structure can reduce noise transmission through the windings, thereby providing stable output characteristics.
