    Abstract: A self-inflating pumping mechanism for tires or tubes is provided. Two arc-shaped lever arms connected through a hinge enclose a lumen/collapsible cavity below the hinge. The design provides great mechanical leverage, which is generated by the lever arms and exerted directly onto the lumen. This translates into higher pumping pressures, lower activation loads, better ride quality and lower energy consumption. The design has a lumen that is mechanically isolated from the inner tube or air pressure in the main cavity of the inner tube, avoiding the need to reinforce the lumen against the pressure of the tire.     Abstract: An improvement in run-flat, puncture-proof tire structure, in which the foamed inner tire body is formed of foam structure, which can provide the required softness/hardness for the tire by adjusting the proportion of foam material ingredients, and since the foamed inner tire body can be placed in the tire body hollow portion of the outer tire body, therefore it avoids blowout when a sharp object enters into and punctures the outer tire body, and it reduces the risk factors during motion, and the rim section positioned on the wheel rim body holds the inflatable inner tire body, and the inflatable inner tire body is also pressed up against the foamed inner tire body to absorb the vibration formed on the wheel rim body during motion, and since the problems of repair requirement and sudden blowout are still present after a puncture, it provides safety and stability during motion.

    Abstract: In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure an inner tube comprises an encasing configured to hold air. The encasing comprises a reinforcing structure configured such that, as the encasing is inflated, an overall major diameter of the inner tube is reduced. The inner tube also comprises an inflation valve coupled to the encasing and configured to allow inflation of the encasing. Further, the inner tube comprises a pressure valve coupled to the encasing. The pressure valve is configured to be biased closed and allow air to leave the encasing when a differential pressure between inside of the encasing and outside of the encasing reaches a threshold pressure level. In the same or alternative embodiments, the encasing also comprises a reinforcing structure configured such that, as the encasing is inflated, an overall major diameter of inner tube is reduced.

    Abstract: A tire is supported in a deflated or run-flat condition by curved, tubular support segments. End portions of adjacent support segments include complementary male and female portions disposed in mating engagement when installed on a wheel in the run-flat operative position. The mating end portions maintain alignment of the support segments during installation and oppose lateral deflection of the segments relative to the wheel in response to side impact forces imposed on the tire during run-flat operation. Each support segment includes a smooth crown portion centered between two shoulder portions and separated from the shoulder portions by a pair of annular grooves or pockets. During run-flat turning and cornering movement, tire tread material is pressed into one of the annular grooves, thus centering the tire on the support segment, thereby opposing lateral shifting movement of the tire tread relative to the support segment and distributing load forces uniformly across the tire tread. The curved support segments include transverse sidewalls arranged generally in a tubular structure having the form of a pentagon in cross-section profile for reacting load forces during run-flat operation.
