Abstract: An aqueous polymer composition comprises (A) a specific emulsion polymer comprising structural units of a cycloalkyl (meth)acrylate, structural units of an acetoacetoxy or acetoacetamide functional monomer, and structural units of a phosphorous acid monomer, a salt thereof, or mixtures thereof; and (B) a specific amount of a waterborne resin comprising at least one fatty acid ester segment and having a number average molecular weight of 20,000 g/mol or less, based on the total dry weight of the emulsion polymer and the waterborne resin. A coating composition comprising such aqueous polymer composition provides coatings made therefrom with improved anti-corrosion property.

The invention also relates to a cured article obtained by radiation curing this curable composition by use of an additive-manufacturing method.-

Abstract: Disclosed are a water-expandable rubber composition and a water-expandable rubber pad including the same. The water-expandable rubber pad manufactured using the water-expandable rubber composition is rigid enough to be directly inserted into a cylinder jacket even without a metal plate, etc. Moreover, the water-expandable rubber pad may increase in volume upon contact with engine coolant, thereby being optimized for an assembly process and facilitating design. Thus, since no separate assembly parts are used compared to conventional cases, the number of parts can be reduced, and costs can be reduced, and adhesiveness of the rubber pad is superior to that of conventional foam rubber and thus heat retention performance is excellent, resulting in improved engine fuel efficiency.

Abstract: The present invention is related to the use of ethylene alkanoate-alkyl acrylate bipolymers with a high randomness monomers distribution, which are synthesized by semicontinuous emulsion polymerization process, characterized because it is carried out using slow addition rate of the pre-emulsion feeding ({dot over (q)}≤0.009 kg·L−1·min−1), stabilized this last one by alkyl glycol ether type surfactants, at temperatures higher than 75° C. and with solids contents above 25 wt %, which avoids the formation of large sequences (blocks) of a same monomer. This structural characteristic gives the ethylene alkanoate-alkyl acrylate bipolymers a high efficiency as chemical agents for removal of complex water/crude oil emulsions of crude oil blends.
