摘要: There is provided a copper foil having a surface coating layer that can achieve a high bonding strength to a resin layer even if the copper foil has an extremely smooth surface such as one formed by vapor deposition, for example, sputtering and also has a desirable insulation resistance suitable for achieving a fine pitch in a printed wiring board. A surface-treated copper foil according to the present invention includes a copper foil and a silicon-based surface coating layer provided on at least one surface of the copper foil, the silicon-based surface coating layer being mainly composed of silicon (Si). The silicon-based surface coating layer has a carbon content of 1.0 to 35.0 atomic % and an oxygen content of 12.0 to 40.0 atomic % relative to a total content in 100 atomic % of carbon (C), oxygen (O) and silicon (Si) elements as measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).

摘要: In a flame retardant resin composition containing a polyolefin resin, a silicone-based compound blended at a ratio of 1.5 parts by mass or more and 20 parts by mass or less relative to 100 parts by mass of the polyolefin resin, a fatty acid containing compound blended at a ratio of 5 parts by mass or more and 20 parts by mass or less relative to 100 parts by mass of the polyolefin resin, and an inorganic flame retardant blended at a ratio of 5 parts by mass or more and 40 parts by mass or less relative to 100 parts by mass of the polyolefin resin, the decomposition onset temperature of the inorganic flame retardant is lower than the decomposition onset temperature of the silicone-based compound.

摘要: The present invention relates to a surface modified overhead conductor with a coating that allows the conductor to operate at lower temperatures. The coating is an inorganic, non-white coating having durable heat and wet aging characteristics. The coating preferably contains a heat radiating agent with desirable properties, and an appropriate binder/suspension agent. In a preferred embodiment, the coating has L* value of less than 80, a heat emissivity of greater than or equal to 0.5, and/or a solar absorptivity coefficient of greater than 0.3.

摘要: A pre-expanded cover assembly for protecting a cable splice connection including a cable, the cable including an electrical conductor surrounded by a cable insulation layer, includes a splice body assembly and a removable holdout. The splice body assembly includes a tubular, cold-shrinkable, electrically insulative, elastomeric splice body having an interior surface defining an interior passage. The splice body assembly further includes a tubular layer of a conformable medium pre-mounted on the interior surface of the splice body. The conformable medium is a flowable material having a high electrical permittivity. The splice body assembly is mounted on the holdout such that the holdout maintains the splice body in an elastically radially expanded state, and the holdout is selectively removable from the splice body to permit the splice body to elastically radially contract. The layer of the conformable medium is positioned and configured such that, when the pre-expanded cover assembly is positioned adjacent the cable splice connection, the holdout is removed from the splice body, and the splice body elastically radially contracts onto the cable splice connection, the layer of the conformable medium will be radially interposed between and engage each of the interior surface of the splice body and an opposing interface surface of the cable insulation.

摘要: The present invention generally relates to deformable polymer composites, and more particularly to, deformable polymer composites with controlled electrical performance during deformation through tailored strain-dependent conductive filler contact. According to embodiments, a deformable elastomeric conductive material includes: an elastomeric polymer matrix; and conductive filler material uniformly dispersed in the elastomeric polymer matrix sufficient to render the material electrically or thermally conductive. The conductive filler material comprises a plurality of substantially non-entangled particles having an aspect ratio sufficiently large to enable the particles to substantially remain in contact and/or in close proximity with adjacent particles so as to maintain conductive pathways in the material when the material is subjected to deformation up to and exceeding 10% strain.
