    摘要: An aqueous phase change ink contains a water dispersible sulphonated polyester gloss agent and a selected concentration of hyperthermogelling component that causes the ink to gel when its temperature is increased to its thermo-inversion point or when the concentration of the hyperthermogelling component is increased by evaporation, or substrate absorption, of water from the ink. The ink may be jetted directly onto a heated and/or absorptive substrate or jetted onto a cooler and/or hydrophobic surface before being transferred to the substrate. The thermo-inversion point is preferably about ambient temperature, and the preferred hyperthermogelling component is a nonionic surfactant, such as an ethylene oxide propylene oxide block copolymer surfactant.

    摘要: An ultrasonic diagnostic imaging system is provided which scans an image region to receive a plurality of spatially arranged lines of ultrasonic image information signals. These ultrasonic line information signals are used in an interpolater to interpolate one or more lines which are spatially interlineated between each pair of spatially adjoining received lines. These interpolated lines are produced using either the received RF or demodulated IF ultrasonic image information signals. The interpolated lines are produced prior to scan conversion, and preferably prior to nonlinear processing such as detection or log compression to reduce spatial aliasing artifacts. In one preferred embodiment the interpolater comprises a transversal filter of four taps which is responsive to received line information signals from a common range or depth. In a second embodiment the interpolater is adaptively responsive to motion to select samples for interpolation which would be spatially at the same range in the absence of motional effects.

    摘要: A fiberizer is described having a rotor to which plural hammers are mounted for fiberizing a sheet of fibers delivered to the rotor as the rotor is rotated. A feed mechanism utilizing a pair of seal rollers, at least one of which is driven, is configured for effective delivery of both wet or dry sheets to the fiberizer. The hammers are configured to minimize dead spaces within the fiberizer. In addition, air flow is directed through the fiberizer to minimize accumulations of fibers therein. Furthermore, an optional liquid flushing mechanism is provided for periodically cleaning the fiberizer during use.
