Abstract:
A method of controlling a load at a wireless communication base station includes determining an indication of a maximum path loss between the base station and any high speed data users currently in a cell served by the base station. A target loading limit for the cell is set based upon the determined indication of the maximum path loss. In disclosed examples, the indication of the maximum path loss corresponds to a distance between a high speed user and a base station. Another factor considered in disclosed examples includes the data rate of such a high speed user.

The present invention relates to an ethylene-alpha olefin copolymer comprising long chain branches (LCB), while having a narrow molecular weight distribution. The ethylene-alpha olefin copolymer can be prepared by a continuous solution polymerization process using an activated catalyst composition containing a Group 4 transition metal compound having a monocyclopentadienyl ligand, to which a quinoline amino group is introduced.

The picolinamide and pyrimidine-4-carboxamide compounds of the present invention are selective inhibitors of human-derived 11β-HSD1 enzymes, and are useful in an agent for preventing, regulating, and treating diseases related to glucocorticoid regulation in which human-derived 11β-HSD1 enzymes are involved, for example, metabolic syndromes such as, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, diabetes later complications, latent autoimmune diabetes adult (LADA), insulin tolerance syndromes, obesity, impaired glucose tolerance (IGT), impaired fasting glucose (IFG), damaged glucose tolerance, dyslipidemia, atherosclerosis, hypertension, etc.
Abstract:
In one embodiment of the instant invention, a non-coherent transmission method for uplink control signals is provided. The transmission methodology uses a constant amplitude zero-autocorrelation (CAZAC) sequence for relatively short control signal lengths. The methodology includes creating a CAZAC sequence, truncating the CAZAC sequence into a plurality of segments; and transmitting each of the segments within a predetermined window of time.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for providing acknowledgment feedback for aggregated downlink component carriers. One embodiment of the method includes determining acknowledgment bits for downlink component carriers that are aggregated to a particular user equipment. Each acknowledgment bit indicates whether a corresponding downlink component carrier was successfully received. This embodiment also includes transmitting symbol constellations representative of the acknowledgment bits in resources of one or more uplink control channels of the uplink component carrier.
Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a field emission array with a carbon microstructure. The method includes: a photomask attachment step of attaching a photomask with a pattern groove to one surface of a transparent substrate; a photoresist attachment step of attaching a negative photoresist to one surface of the photomask; an exposure step of irradiating light toward the opposite surface of the transparent substrate from the photomask to cure a portion of the negative photoresist with the light irradiated on the negative photoresist through the pattern groove; a developing step of removing an uncured portion of the negative photoresist while leaving the cured portion of the negative photoresist as a microstructure; a pyrolysis step of heating and carbonizing the microstructure thus obtained; and a cathode attachment step of attaching a voltage-supplying cathode to the surface of the transparent substrate on which the microstructure is formed.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for transmitting and receiving random access channel messages in an extended range wireless communication system. One embodiment of the method may include accumulating, at a base station, signal energy received during a first portion of a transmission time interval. The method may also include accumulating, at the base station, signal energy received during a second portion of the transmission time interval. The first and second portions are offset from the start or end of the transmission time interval by selected delay intervals. The method may further include detecting the message(s) based on the signal energy accumulated during the first and second portions of the transmission time interval.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a novel transition metal complex where a monocyclopentadienyl ligand to which an amido group is introduced is coordinated, a method for synthesizing the complex, and olefin polymerization using the same. The method for preparing a transition metal complex according to the present invention comprises a step of blocking a by-reaction of a nitrogen atom using a compound containing a protecting group, and thus it is possible to prepare a transition metal complex in a simpler manner in a high yield. Further, the transition metal complex according to the present invention has a pentagon ring structure having an amido group connected by a phenylene bridge in which a stable bond is formed in the vicinity of a metal site, and thus, sterically monomers can easily approach the transition metal complex.
