Abstract:
Peptide-peptidase inhibitor conjugate molecules and methods of manufacture thereof are disclosed. These conjugate molecules are useful as agents for the treatment and prevention of metabolic and cardiovascular diseases, disorders, and conditions. Such diseases, conditions and disorders include, but are not limited to, hypertension, dyslipidemia, cardiovascular disease, eating disorders, insulin-resistance, obesity, and diabetes mellitus of any kind, and other diabetes-related disorders.
Abstract:
A method for preparing stapled peptides. The stapled peptides, including helical stapled peptides, are prepared according to a photochemically-based method, a [3+2] cycloaddition reaction. The helical stapled peptides exhibit increased helicity, thermal stability and cell permeability.
Abstract:
A printed circuit board includes a first signal via, a second signal via, and a first ground via. A distance between the first ground via and the first signal via is substantially equal to a distance between the first ground via and the second signal via.
Abstract:
A power factor correction controller is utilized for a power factor correction circuit in a critical conduction mode of an electric power converter. The power factor correction controller generates a control voltage according to an output voltage outputted from the electric power converter, and utilizes a first threshold value to detect the control voltage. The power factor correction controller can control the power factor correction circuit to operate in different modes according to various levels of a load. Therefore, an objective according to the present invention for reducing electric power consumption of the electric power converter in a light load or a no-load mode and improving energy transmission efficiency can be attained.
Abstract:
A passive optical network (PON) system utilizing a data link layer protocol for communication is disclosed. The PON system may include an optical network unit (ONU). The PON system may also include an optical line terminal (OLT) configured to communicate with the ONU utilizing an Ethernet frame. The Ethernet frame may include at least a source application identifier and a destination application identifier. The source application identifier may represent a source application residing in at least one of the OLT and the ONU. The destination application identifier may represent one or more destination applications configured to receive data from the source application.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an anti-ovarian cancer bispecific antibody. Said antibody includes two polypeptide domains connected by a polypeptide linker, one is anti-ovarian cancer antibody, or its Fab fragment, single complementarity determining region (CDR) antibody or single chain Fv (scFv) and the other is anti-CD3 antibody, or its Fab fragment, single CDR antibody or scFv. The present invention also provides DNA sequences encoding said antibody, an expression vector containing said DNA sequence, and a host cell containing said expression vector.
Abstract:
An elbow for fence post includes an elbow body and a connector. The elbow body and the fence post are connected through the connector. An insertion hole is opened in the middle of the connector, and the lower end of the elbow body is configured to be inserted into the insertion hole under an interference fit. The outer ring of the connector has an annular groove which is configured to be embeds into the upper end of the post and connects with the external diameter under an interference fit.
Abstract:
A fence accessory includes at least two ornament bodies, each of the at least two ornament bodies including a first connecting part and a second connecting part at two opposing ends thereof. The first connecting part of one of the at least two ornament bodies and the second connecting part of an other one of the at least two ornament bodies are configured to be connected to a fence bar and clamped together as one unit. Moreover, each of the first connecting part and the second connecting part includes a hook and a slot at two opposing sides of the first connecting part and the second connecting part. The hook of the first connecting part of one ornament body is configured to connect to the slot of the second connecting part of an adjacent accessory body.
