摘要: A transmission mechanism including a switching clutch or brake that is switchable between a continuously-variable shifting state and a step-variable shifting state, and has both an advantage of improved fuel economy provided by a transmission, the speed ratio of which is electrically variable, and an advantage of high power transmitting efficiency provided by a gear type power transmitting device constructed for mechanical transmission of power. While a clutch-to-clutch shifting action of an automatic transmission portion is in a tie-up state, a differential portion is placed in a continuously-variable shifting state by switching control, and engine speed is changed under the control of hybrid control, so as to prevent a drop of the engine speed for thereby reducing a shock of the shifting action, unlike in a non-continuously-variable shifting state of the differential portion in which the engine speed is directly influenced by the tie-up state.

摘要: A control apparatus for a vehicular drive system provided with a continuously-variable transmission portion operable as an electrically controlled continuously variable transmission, and a step-variable transmission portion, the continuously-variable transmission portion having a differential mechanism operable to distribute an output of an engine to a first electric motor and a power transmitting member, and a second electric motor disposed in a power transmitting path between the power transmitting member and a drive wheel of a vehicle, the control apparatus including a continuous-transmission control device including a first shifting control portion for controlling a speed ratio of the continuously-variable transmission portion, so as to prevent a change of a speed of the engine due to a change of an input speed of the step-variable transmission portion upon a shifting action of the step-variable transmission portion, and second shifting control portion for controlling the speed ratio of the continuously-variable transmission portion independently of the shifting action of the step-variable transmission portion, the continuous-transmission control means selectively activating the first shifting control portion and the second shifting control portion, on the basis of a manner in which an overall speed ratio of the transmission mechanism is changed.

摘要: A control apparatus for a vehicular drive system including a continuously-variable transmission portion operable as an electrically controlled continuously variable transmission, the continuously-variable transmission portion having a differential mechanism operable to distribute an output of an engine to a first electric motor and a power transmitting member, and a second electric motor disposed in a power transmitting path between the power transmitting member and a drive wheel of a vehicle. The control apparatus includes: (a) a differential-state limiting device provided in the differential mechanism, and operable to limit a differential function of the differential mechanism, for limiting an operation of the continuously-variable transmission portion as the electrically controlled continuously variable transmission; and (b) a differential-state switching controller operable, when acceleration or deceleration of the vehicle is required, for removing the limitation imposed by the differential-state limiting device on the operation of the continuously-variable transmission portion as the electrically controlled continuously variable transmission.

摘要: A deceleration control apparatus to achieve the intended level of deceleration performance regardless of whether braking performance is changed by towing an object such as a trailer, and to reduce the possibility that a driver feels uncomfortable due to a change in the level of deceleration performance while the vehicle is running. Vehicle weight is calculated based on the actual running state of a vehicle, and it is determined whether the vehicle is towing an object based on the vehicle weight. When the vehicle is stationary, a deceleration pattern (the rate of change in a target deceleration) is changed based on whether the vehicle is towing an object. Therefore, it is possible to achieve the intended level of deceleration performance that matches the level of driver's request for deceleration, regardless of whether the vehicle weight is changed by towing an object.

摘要: A control apparatus for a vehicular drive system including a differential mechanism including an electric motor. The drive system includes a switching clutch and switching brake to switch the transmission mechanism between a continuously-variable shifting state and a step-variable shifting state. A shifting control mechanism changes a manner of controlling shifting action of the transmission mechanism during shifting action of an automatic transmission portion, for reducing a shifting shock, depending upon whether a differential portion is placed in the continuously-variable shifting state in which engine speed is variable due to differential function irrespective of rotating speed of power transmitting member, or the non-continuously-variable shifting state in which the engine speed is more difficult to be variable than in the continuously-variable shifting state.

摘要: A transmission mechanism including a switching clutch or brake is switchable between a continuously-variable shifting state and a step-variable shifting state, and provides improved fuel economy by a transmission with an electrically variable speed ratio and high power transmitting efficiency by a gear type power transmitting device constructed for mechanical transmission of power. During four-wheel drive vehicle running with second drive wheels driven by a third electric motor, a switching control switches a differential portion to a continuously-variable shifting state, so that an operating speed of a first electric motor operated by an output of an engine as an electric generator is controlled to assure a higher degree of electricity generating efficiency, owing to the differential function of the differential portion, than when the differential portion is placed in a non-continuously-variable shifting state in which first electric motor speed and engine speed are determined by vehicle running speed.

摘要: A control device is provided for a vehicular drive apparatus, having a differential mechanism and a transmission, for miniaturizing the differential mechanism and/or providing improved fuel economy while preventing a busy shift. With the provision of a switching clutch C0 or a switching brake B0, a transmitting mechanism 10 can be placed in a continuously variable shifting state and a step-variable shifting state whereby the vehicular drive apparatus has combined advantages including a fuel saving effect of the transmission, enabled to electrically change a gear ratio, and a high transmitting efficiency of a gear type transmitting device enabled to mechanically transmit drive power. With a total speed ratio γT set to a lower vehicle speed gear ratio than that for a given running state, if a required drive force or a drive force source brake is unavailable or if load torque of an electric motor is deviated from an allowable range, switching control mean 50 switches a differential portion 11 to the step-variable shifting state for thereby obtaining larger drive force or drive force source brake than those for the given running state without causing load torque of the electric motor from deviating from the allowable range while preventing the busy shift.

摘要: A control device for a vehicle drive apparatus that includes a differential mechanism and an electric motor provided in the differential mechanism, which can be miniaturized in structure with improved fuel economy and enabling suppression of occurrence in switching shocks. With a provision of a switching clutch or a switching brake, a shifting mechanism is placed in either a continuously variable shifting state or a step variable shifting state. During a shifting of an automatic shifting portion, an engaging control variable control alters a method of learning an engaging pressure. This allows a rotation speed of a transmitting member to achieve a given variation during the shifting, depending on a continuously variable shifting state and a non-continuously variable shifting state, for thereby providing a balance between an improvement in a feeling and a suppressing of shifting shocks.
