    Abstract: Certain examples of the disclosure concern a prosthetic device. The prosthetic device can include a radially compressible and expandable frame and a screw actuator coupled to the frame and configured to be rotated to radially expand the frame from a radially compressed state to a radially expanded state. The frame can include two or more pairs of first markers and second markers. The pairs of first and second markers can be circumferentially spaced apart from each other. The first and second markers of each pair can be axially aligned and axially movable relative to one another as the frame radially expands. Positions of the first and second markers can be configured so that a difference in axial distances between respective pairs of the first markers and second markers can indicate a degree of evenness of the frame's radial expansion.

    Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve includes a frame made of a plastically expandable material and including an inflow end, an outflow end, and a central portion between the inflow end and the outflow end. The frame is radially collapsible and expandable. The inflow end includes a plurality of circumferentially extending first strut members having a first strut width and forming a first angle between adjacent first strut members, and the central portion includes a plurality of circumferentially extending second strut members having a second strut width and forming a second angle between adjacent second strut members. A plurality of leaflets is positioned within the frame and configured to regulate blood flow through the prosthetic heart valve. The first strut width of the first strut members at the inflow end of the frame is greater than the second strut width of the second strut members in the central portion of the frame.

    Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve includes a valve frame comprising an outflow end and an inflow end, a plurality of leaflets disposed within and coupled to the valve frame, and a skirt assembly mounted to an outer surface of the valve frame. The skirt assembly includes a sealing layer and a skirt frame including a plurality of interconnected struts, wherein the skirt frame has a plurality of inflow apices and outflow apices, wherein selected ones of the inflow apices are fixed to the valve frame and selected ones of the outflow apices are fixed to the valve frame, wherein one or more of the struts are configured to flex in an outward radial direction when the valve frame is in a radially expanded state to cause the sealing layer to protrude outwardly from the valve frame.
