摘要: A synthetic magnetodielectric composite material for absorbing electromagnetic radiation has a sheet of fabric having first and second surfaces. The fabric is formed of an insulating material. Magnetically permeable thread is disposed within the fabric. The magnetically permeable thread comprises a material having a permeability substantially greater than the permeability of free space. The fabric is impregnated with resin. The magnetically permeable thread is configured to provide predetermined permittivity and permeability within a selected frequency range, so as to provide desired absorption/transmission of electromagnetic radiation.

摘要: An EMR-absorbing anechoic chamber absorber (22, 42) uses a block of honeycomb material with a lossy material, such as carbon, applied to the sheets (4) of material from which the honeycomb is made to create wedges (36) or pyramids (44) of lossy material. Preferably, the lossy material is applied to the sheets of material in a repeating wedge-shaped pattern (16) to create the wedges of lossy material within the solid rectangular block of honeycomb material. Parallel, wedge-shaped grooves (43) are formed in the block of honeycomb material to create the pyramids of lossy material. If the lossy material is applied to the entire sheet, a set of parallel, wedge-shaped grooves are formed in the block of honeycomb material to create wedges of lossy material; two sets of parallel, wedge-shaped grooves are formed at 90.degree. angles to one another to create pyramids of lossy material.

摘要: Structure for connecting two members together, each including spaced apart, oppositely disposed, opposed surfaces having a cross section including a short straight portion adjacent one edge thereof, a longer obliquely extending portion extending from the other edge thereof and merging with an arcuate connecting portion which intersects the shorter straight portion, which surfaces are complementary and arranged to be in engagement with the members assembled. In one modification of the invention, the oblique portion of the surface cross section starts prior to the plane of the short straight line portion of the cross section and crosses it prior to merging with the connecting portion of the cross section. In another modification, the cross section of the surfaces of one member is formed with short straight portions at both edges of the surface with obliquely extending portions extending both ways from the center of the surface terminating in separate arcuate portions intersecting the short straight portions of the cross section. The connecting structure may be utilized to implement fasteners similar to nuts and bolts, may be utilized to secure a plurality of annular or polygonal members in a single plane, and to connect a plurality of separate members serially. Further, the connecting structure of the invention has particular application in a variety of boxes, hangers, connectors and fasteners and is particularly useful in coupling pipes. The spaced apart, oppositely disposed, opposed surfaces may be straight or arcuate. When these surfaces are annular, the cross sections thereof taper into straight lines over ninety degrees of arc in each direction from a maximum departure from a straight line and thus permit disconnecting of circular members from their connected positions on angularly moving them relative to each other 90.degree..

摘要: Embodiments of mobile computer device display postures are described. In embodiments, a first display is integrated in a first housing of a dual-display mobile computer device, and a second display is integrated in a second housing of the dual-display mobile computer device. Position data can be sensed from a binding that movably connects the first housing and the second housing, and a position angle can be determined between the first housing and the second housing that correlates to a display posture of the first display and the second display.
