    摘要: In conjunction with the manufacture of a multilayer ceramic capacitor having nickel-containing internal electrodes involving a polishing step for exposing the end of the internal electrodes, a non-reducible dielectric ceramic material is prepared, for the purpose of preventing the polishing step from being prolonged, by furnishing a calcined material containing a compound oxide represented by the formula (I): [(CaxSr1−x)O]m[(TiyZr1−y)O2] wherein 0≦x≦1, 0≦y≦0.10, and 0.75≦m≦1.04, as a main component, adding 0.001-10 mol % based on the main component of MgO or rare earth oxide and firing the mixture. The ceramic material contains predetermined amounts of SiO2 and BaO and/or CaO, and MnO as auxiliary components.

    摘要: A high damping material composition useful as a vibration damper and an acoustic insulating material such as a sound insulating wall for an acoustic room, a sound insulating partition for a construction structure and a soundproofing wall for a vehicle. The high damping material composition of the present invention containing the following components (A) and (B); (A) a polymer having in the molecular chain thereof a chemical structural unit derived from the following (a); (a) at least one selected from the group consisting of an acrylic monomer, a methacrylic monomer, an ethylene-acrylic copolymer, an ethylene-methacrylic copolymer and vinyl acetate; (B) at least one damping property imparting agent selected from the group consisting of a hindered phenol compound, a phosphite ester compound, a phosphate ester compound, a basic compound containing nitrogen and a hindered amine compound. The combined use of the component (A) and (B) makes an interaction therebetween homogeneous and appropriate, so that the component (B) is homogeneously dispersed in the component (A), resulting in exhibition of a high tan &dgr;. Moreover, the homogeneous dispersion can be maintained for a long period thereby to prevent a declined of tan &dgr; with time. The compositions have a tan &dgr; peak temperature of approximately room temperature, which makes the compositions suitable for use in a room temperature atmosphere.

    摘要: Non-magnetic ferrite composition used in the composite multilayer part of the invention is based on ferrite containing Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 and CuO and/or ZnO and further contains 1 to 30% by weight of four oxide components of MgO, BaO, SiO.sub.2, and B.sub.2 O.sub.3 or five or six oxide components including the four oxide components plus at least one of SnO.sub.2 and CaO. Since the use of this non-magnetic ferrite minimizes the difference in coefficient of linear expansion between different materials used, the non-magnetic ferrite, when applied to composite multilayer parts such as shielded multilayer chip inductors, shielded multilayer transformers, and multilayer LC composite parts, prevents occurrence of cracks in the interior and avoids a lowering of circuit resistance due to precipitation of CuO, ZnO or the like at the interface between different materials. There result composite multilayer parts with improved characteristics.

    摘要: A multilayer ceramic chip capacitor includes alternately stacked dielectric layers and internal electrode layers. The dielectric layers contain barium titanate as a major component and magnesium oxide, manganese oxide, barium oxide and/or calcium oxide, silicon oxide and optionally, yttrium oxide as minor components in such a proportion that there are present 0.1-3 mol of MgO, 0.05-1.0 mol of MnO, 2-12 mol of BaO+CaO, 2-12 mol of SiO.sub.2 and up to 1 mol of Y.sub.2 O.sub.3 per 100 mol of BaTiO.sub.3. The capacitor satisfies the standard temperature dependence of capacitance and shows a minimized change of capacitance with time under an applied DC electric field and a long insulation resistance life. Where the dielectric layers contain 0.1-3 mol of MgO, 1-5 mol of Y.sub.2 O.sub.3, 2-12 mol of BaO+CaO, and 2-12 mol of SiO.sub.2 per 100 mol of BaTiO.sub.3, the capacitor shows improved DC bias performance.
