The device (1) has a presser device (8) with a guide (9) for the cleaning belt section (6), through which the cleaning belt section (6) can be pressed. It is provided that the presser device (8) includes at least one flexible cushion or buffer (10), and that the guide (9) acted on thereby is deflectable or bendable transversely to, or at right angles to, the surface to be cleaned (2).

A method for removing combustible, metallurgical dust out of the exhaust gas from installations for drawing single silicon crystals is provided. The dust contaminated exhaust gas and a reactive gas, such as air, oxygen or ozone, are fed into a reactor operated at a temperature of 50 to 500° C. where the reactive gas combusts the dust to form solid products. The reactor may be equipped with a catalyst, such as nickel, palladium or platinum, to promote the reaction. The solid products-containing exhaust gas is passed through a filter. By combusting the dust in the reactor, spontaneous explosions can be minimized.

The present invention relates to a method of producing covalently closed circular (ccc) DNA from a cultured cell or unicellular organism, preferably a bacterium, essentially free of genomic DNA. The method of the invention comprises the steps of precipitating a cleared lysate with an alcohol, washing and resuspension of the precipitate, digestion of the genomic DNA with a nuclease that cleaves linear DNA or circular DNA that includes a nick or a free 3′ or 5′ end but not ccc DNA, and finally, separation of the purified ccc DNA from the remainder of the product of the digestion step by contacting the product with an ion exchange material. ccc DNA obtained by the method, pharmaceutical compositions comprising the ccc DNA, and a kit for carrying out the method of the invention are also contemplated.
