    Abstract: Improvement in linearity is achieved at low costs in a power amplifier module employing an envelope tracking system. The power amplifier module includes a first power amplifier circuit that amplifies a radio frequency signal and that outputs a first amplified signal, a second power amplifier circuit that amplifies the first amplified signal on the basis of a source voltage varying depending on amplitude of the radio frequency signal and that outputs a second amplified signal, and a matching circuit that includes first and second capacitors connected in series between the first and second power amplifier circuit and an inductor connected between a node between the first and second capacitors and a ground and that decreases a gain of the first power amplifier circuit as the source voltage of the second power amplifier circuit increases.

    Abstract: A radio-frequency circuit is used in simultaneous transfer of a radio-frequency signal of 4G and a radio-frequency signal of 5G, and includes a first transfer circuit that selectively receives the 4G radio-frequency signal or the 5G radio-frequency signal, and transfers a radio-frequency signal of a first communication band including a first transmission band and a first reception band and a radio-frequency signal of a second communication band including a second transmission band and a second reception band. The first and second transmission bands at least partially overlap. The first transfer circuit includes a first power amplifier that amplifies transmission signals of the first and second communication bands, and a first transmission filter that has a first passband including the first and second transmission bands, and passes the transmission signals of the first and second communication bands output from the first power amplifier.

    Abstract: A differential amplifier circuit includes a first and second amplifiers that output a differential signal in a radio-frequency band, a first inductor having a first end connected to an output end of the first amplifier, a second inductor having a first end connected to an output end of the second amplifier, a choke inductor connected to second ends of the first and second inductors, a first and second capacitors, and a switch that connects the second capacitor in parallel to the first capacitor or terminates a parallel connection of the first and second capacitors. A resonant circuit formed by connecting the first or second inductor in series with the first capacitor has a different resonant frequency from a resonant circuit formed by connecting the first or second inductor in series with the parallel-connected first and second capacitors. These resonant frequencies correspond to second harmonic frequencies of the differential signal.

    Abstract: A power amplifier circuit includes a first amplifier that amplifies a first RF signal and outputs a second RF signal, a second amplifier that amplifies the second RF signal and outputs a third RF signal, a bias circuit that supplies a bias current or voltage to the first or second amplifier, and a bias adjustment circuit that adjusts the bias current or voltage on the basis of the first RF signal, the second RF signal, or the third RF signal. The bias adjustment circuit includes a first diode having an anode to which a control signal indicating a signal based on the first, second, or third RF signal is inputted, and a cathode connected to a ground. The bias circuit includes a bias transistor that outputs the bias current or voltage on the basis of a voltage at the anode of the first diode.

    Abstract: A power amplifier module includes a first amplifier circuit that amplifies a radio frequency signal with a first gain corresponding to a first control signal to generate a first amplified signal; a second amplifier circuit that amplifies the first amplified signal with a second gain corresponding to a second control signal to generate a second amplified signal; and a control unit that generates the first control signal and the second control signal. The second control signal is a control signal for increasing a power-supply voltage for the second amplifier circuit as a peak-to-average power ratio of the radio frequency signal increases. The first control signal is a control signal for controlling the first gain of the first amplifier circuit so that a variation in the second gain involved in a variation in the power-supply voltage for the second amplifier circuit is compensated for.

    Abstract: A communication terminal device is a glasses-type communication terminal device having an optically transmissive display mounted thereon. The communication terminal device includes first and second radio-frequency modules that perform radio-frequency signal processing and a baseband module that is connected to the first and second radio-frequency modules via communication lines so as to be communicable and that performs baseband signal processing. The first and second radio-frequency modules are selectively switched by the baseband module to perform a reception operation. When the first radio-frequency module performs the reception operation, a reception signal received by the first radio-frequency module is retransmitted from the second radio-frequency module.
