Abstract: Embodiments of the inventive concept herein provide a method and User Equipment (UE) for handling PLMN selection involving Proximity Based Services (ProSe) communication. The method includes detecting one of a PLMN selection due to the ProSe communication followed by a manual Closed Subscriber Group (CSG) cell selection, and a manual CSG cell selection followed by the PLMN selection due to the ProSe communication, when the UE has stored a duplicate value of a Registered PLMN (RPLMN) and a duplicate of a PLMN selection mode. Further, the method includes preserving the stored duplicate value of the RPLMN and a stored duplicate of the PLMN selection mode.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a method for providing user equipment (UE) radio access capabilities in a handover procedure. Abstract: Methods and systems for controlling permissions of a UE for accessing a network. The disclosure also describes that a deregistration notification from a Unified Data Management (UDM) may act as a trigger for an old Mobility Management Function (AMF) to decrement counts in the NSACF as the old AMF is no longer serving the UE.

The method includes sending either a registration accept message including a CAG information list to the UE when the UE supports the CAG feature, or a registration reject message including a 5GMM cause value other than a 5GMM cause #76 to the UE when the UE does not support the CAG feature.

Abstract: Accordingly, embodiments herein disclose a method for handling a closed access group (CAG) related procedure in a wireless communication system. A network may receive a radio resource control (RRC) resume request message from a user equipment (UE). The network may determine whether the at least one CAG identifier (ID) broadcasted in a CAG cell is included in an allowed CAG list of the UE (100) in response to the RRC resume request message. The network may proceed with a RRC resume procedure in response to determining that the at least one CAG ID is included in the allowed CAG list.
