摘要: An apparatus for inducing cavitation at a surface of a specimen includes a cavitation chamber, a window extending through the wall of the chamber to an area outside the chamber, a test specimen positioned within the chamber, and a cavitation media inside the chamber and in contact with the surface of the specimen. A laser light source is disposed outside the chamber, and is operable to provide a laser beam through the window and into the cavitation media. The laser light source generates a shock wave in the cavitation media, the shock wave causing cavitation at the surface of the specimen.

摘要: Pharmaceutical compositions of phthalocyanine compounds with a structure according to Formula (I) are described. Phthalocyanines are photosensitizer compounds having a phthalocyanine ring system that can be used for photodynamic therapy. Different phthalocyanines and phthalocyanine salts are shown to have useful characteristics such as water solubility, oil solubility, or tunable photostability. Formulations of phthalocyanines and phthalocyanine salts that can be used for topical and systemic administration are described.

摘要: A current mirror method is provided that can be utilized to evaluate thermal issues is silicon-on-insulator (SOI) bipolar junction transistors (BJTs). The method significantly improves safe operating area (SOA) measurement sensitivity. Unlike conventional methods, the current mirror method can provide quantitative analysis of the BJTs thermal instability over a wide power range, even in the apparent SOA of the device. This method can also predict and evaluate SOA with respect to emitter ballast resistance and current crowding.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a plate (21) having an electrode (214) with a plurality of gaps (217) is provided. The method includes the steps of: providing a substrate (200) comprising a glass layer (210); coating a plurality of photo-resist protrusions (215) on the substrate; coating a transparent conductive layer (218) on the photo-resist protrusions and the substrate; removing the photo-resist protrusions and corresponding portions of the transparent conductive layer, thereby forming a plurality of gaps in the transparent conductive layer. The method of the preferred embodiment can provide a simplified process at a lower cost, compared with conventional methods requiring etching t.

摘要: A LCD panel (200) includes a first substrate (201) and a second substrate (202) opposite to each other, a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and second substrates, a sealant (216) disposed between the first and second substrates and surrounding the liquid crystal layer, a plurality of gate lines (208) and data lines (209) perpendicularly formed on the first substrate. Each gate line and each data line define a plurality of overlapping areas overlapped by the sealant. Each overlapping area has at least an opening. In the LCD panel, each gate lines and each data lines have a plurality of openings on the overlapping areas. Thus, ultraviolet light would completely cure the sealant. That is the LCD panel has a high quality display effect.

摘要: A method of handling negotiations between a seller of an item and prospective buyers of the item is disclosed. A first offer for the item is received. The first offer includes a first item price and a first item quantity. A second offer for the item is received. The second offer includes a second item price and a second item quantity. It is detected that a first prospective buyer submitted a payment corresponding to the first offer before a second prospective buyer submitted a payment corresponding to the second offer. Based on an item quantity of the seller being less than the first quantity plus the second quantity, the seller is notified that the seller has an obligation to provide the first item quantity of the item to the first prospective buyer, but not the second quantity of the item to the second prospective buyer.
