    摘要: A thermoplastic resin composition comprise 99.9.about.50 parts by weight of one or more thermoplastic resin selected from the group consisting of aromatic polyimide, aromatic polyetherimide, aromatic polyamideimide, aromatic polyethersulfone and aromatic polyether ketone and 0.1.about.50 parts by weight of one or more liquid crystal type aromatic polyimide having recurring structural units represented by the formula (1): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 .about.R.sub.5 is a hydrogen atom, fluorine atom, trifluoromethyl, methyl, ethyl or cyano and may be the same or different, and R is a tetravalent radical having 6.about.27 carbon atoms and being selected from the group consisting of a monoaromatic radical, condensed polyaromatic radical and noncondensed aromatic radical connected each other with a direct bond or a bridge member.The present invention can provide thermoplastic resin compositions which have remarkably good processability and excellent thermal stability in addition to essentially excellent properties of each resin.

    摘要: A block copolymer of propylene can be obtained with its quality controlled uniform by conducting at first continuous polymerization of propylene in a polymerization system, receiving a polymer slurry, which has been discharged continuously from the polymerization system, in a batchwise polymerization tank, feeding ethylene to the tank to conduct batchwise polymerization of ethylene and propylene. Upon discharge of a copolymer slurry formed by the preceding batchwise polymerization, at least a predetermined amount of unreacted ethylene is left over in the tank. Into the tank with the unreacted ethylene still left over therein, there are simultaneously charged the polymer slurry from the polymerization system and a deactivator. During this charging, ethylene is not supplied. The charging rate of the deactivator is controlled in such a way that the partial pressure of ethylene in the vapor phase of the tank always reaches a predetermined value at the time point of completion of reception of the polymer slurry therein.

    摘要: A fiber excellent in strength and having an average size of 10,000-0.1 denier can be obtained by extruding a new material composed mainly of a polypropylene having a syndiotactic pentad fraction of 0.7 or more and optionally stretching the resulting extruded material. By using as the raw material a composition consisting of two kinds of polypropylenes each having an intrinsic viscosity .eta..sub.1 or .eta..sub.2, the log(.eta..sub.2 /.eta..sub.1) being more than 0.05 or less than -0.05, and a syndiotactic pentad traction of 0.7 or more at a weight ratio of 95:5-5:95 or a composition consisting of at least 50 parts by weight of a syndiotactic polypropylene having the intrinsic viscosity .eta..sub.1 and a syndiotactic pentad fraction of 0.7 or above and at most 50 parts by weight of an isotactic polypropylene having the intrinsic viscosity .eta..sub.2, the extrudability is improved and the fiber stretching conditions are broadened.

    摘要: An .alpha.-olefin-alkenylsilane copolymer having steric regularity in which the side chains in the .alpha.-olefin unit substantially have the steric regularity, the content of alkenylsilane units is from 0.01 to 50% by weight, and the intrinsic viscosity measured in a tetralin solution at 135.degree. C. is 0.01 or higher. A method for preparing the above copolymer comprises the step of copolymerizing an .alpha.-olefin having 3 to 25 carbon atoms with an alkenylsilane in the presence of a catalyst comprising an aluminoxane and a transition metal compound containing a cyclopentadiene group or its derivative as a ligand.
