摘要: Provided are a CVD system and a CVD process which can grow excellent compound semiconductor thin films of two or more components having least defects and which enjoy high source gas utilization efficiency and increased productivity. According to the CVD system and the CVD process, at least two kinds of source gases are introduced parallel to the surface of a substrate 11 placed in a reactor 10 to grow a compound semiconductor thin film of two or more components on the surface of the substrate 11. The CVD system contains two separators 18, 19 disposed in the reactor 10 on the upstream side of the substrate mounting section to be parallel to the surface of the substrate 11 so as to define in the reactor three parallel layers of passages consisting of a first passage 20, a second passage 21 and a third passage 22; a first CVD gas introducing pipe 23 communicating to the first passage 20; a second CVD gas introducing pipe 24 communicating to the second passage 21; and a deposition accelerating gas introducing pipe 25 communicating to the third passage 22.

摘要: Light is supplied into a light incident surface 2 from a fluorescent lamp L enclosed by a silver foil sheet R, and parallelized illuminating light flux is taken out from a light exit surface 3. On a back surface 4 side of a light flux parallelizer 1, across or without a thin air layer 5, a polarization converter &Sgr; is disposed. The polarization converter &Sgr; reinforces the polarization function of the surface light source device through polarization conversion action accompanying reflection in the prism. At a position confronting the light exit surface 3 across an air layer 7, a polarization separating plate 8 is disposed. At a further outside, across an air layer 9, an exit light direction modifier 10 is disposed. A bright polarized illuminating light flux is emitted from a light exit surface 11. When applied to a backlight of a liquid crystal display, a liquid crystal display panel is disposed at a further outside of the exit light direction modifier 10.

摘要: A piston is free to slide in an engine cylinder, this piston comprising a piston head of circular cross-section, a skirt formed such that it is continuous with the lower part of said piston head, a piston pin passing through the skirt, and a connecting rod connected via this piston pin. This skirt comprises an upper part and a lower part which respectively have an elliptical horizontal cross-section with a short axis parallel to the piston pin, the horizontal cross-section of the upper part of the skirt having a higher eccentricity than that of the lower part of the skirt. The skirt further comprises a taper surface which smoothly connects its upper and lower parts. The contact surface between the skirt and the cylinder therefore has an inverted T shape so that the contact surface of the lower part of the skirt can be increased. It is therefore possible to set the distance from the center of the piston pin to the lower edge of the skirt such that it is no greater than 1.8 times the distance from the center of the piston pin to the upper edge of the skirt, so making the piston more compact while maintaining operational stability.

摘要: A biodegradable biopolymer material consists of silk fibroin from domesticated silkworm; silk fibroin from wild silkworm; a composite material comprising silk fibroin from domesticated silkworm and silk fibroin from wild silkworm; or a composite material comprising either silk fibroin from domesticated silkworm or silk fibroin from wild silkworm and at least one secondary substance selected from the group consisting of cellulose, chitin, chitosan, chitosan derivatives, keratin from wool and polyvinyl alcohol. The material may be prepared by, for instance, casting an aqueous solution of domesticated silkworm silk fibroin on the surface of a substrate and then cast drying the applied solution. The biodegradable biopolymer material is effectively used as, for instance, a metal ion-adsorbing material, a sustained release substrate for a useful substance such as a medicine, a biological cell-growth substrate and a biodegradable water-absorbing material.

摘要: A fabric model generation program, apparatus and method generate a napped fabric model that reproduces the realistic structure of each napped part. A placement portion (130) calculates an initial shape of three-dimensional napped models of the napped parts based on a degree of defiberation, minimum radius and height information, and places the napped models having the calculated initial shape on the base texture model. A flexure energy calculation portion (141) calculates a flexure energy representing the energy of the napped models attempting to flex, on the basis of a yarn stiffness coefficient. A repulsion energy calculation portion (142) calculates repulsion energy between the napped models attempting to repel each other, on the basis of a repulsion coefficient. A final shape calculation portion (143) calculates the final shape of the napped models so that a sum energy obtained by adding the flexure energy and the repulsion energy becomes minimum.
