    摘要: A method includes receiving a two-bit information stream comprising first and second bits and performing precoding using the two-bit information stream to determine multiple output signals. The precoding is performed to create a finite multiple of states for the output signals. The output signals comprise a first output signal based on a version of the first input bit and on a version of a second input bit, a second output signal based on a delayed version of the first input bit and the version of the second input bit, and a third output signal based on the version of first input bit and a delayed version of the second input bit. The method includes performing pulse shaping of each of the output signals to create pulse-shaped signals, combining the pulse-shaped signals to create a transmission waveform, and outputting the transmission waveform. Apparatus, computer programs, and computer program products are disclosed.

In one aspect, a method transmits a plurality of symbols each of which containing an overhead portion and at least a portion of a respective data transmission unit (DTU). In particular, the method transmits the overhead portion of a first symbol of the plurality of symbols and the at least a portion of a respective DTU of the first symbol when the at least a portion of the respective DTU of the first symbol contains payload data. The method transmits the overhead portion of a second symbol of the plurality of symbols without transmitting the at least a portion of a respective DTU of the second symbol when the at least a portion of the respective DTU of the second symbol contains no payload data.

    摘要: A communications system includes a receiver unit connected with a transmission channel. The receiver unit determines a signal power of a first communications signal received over the transmission channel. A transmitter unit is connected with the transmission channel and transmits a second communications signal, wherein a gain of the communications signal being output by the transmitter unit is controllable. A control unit controls the gain of the transmitter unit in response to the determined signal power. At the receiver unit, detection of broadcast signal ingress during data communication is improved and methods for avoiding disturbances between coexisting communications systems may become more reliable. Different distances between successive training symbols suitable for channel estimation may be provided to enhance the noise measurement.

    摘要: RF input signals having mutually different carrier frequencies are input from a signal generator to a power amplifier, the power amplifier amplifying the RF input signals and outputting them as RF output signals. The signal generator has a function for reducing the PAR of the waveform combining the RF input signals. The PAR reduction of the combined waveform of the RF input signals is performed through a control on the transmission timing of the RF input signals via a delay adjuster installed in the signal generator, or through an amplitude constraint on the RF input signals via a limiter installed in the signal generator. In this manner, a transmission device with improved power efficiency is provided.
