摘要:
The present invention is a spectral image processing method including the steps of selecting observed spectral information from a multispectral image of a scene, generating a constraint on a spectral distribution of an illumination and a constraint on a surface reflectance of an object using a basis vector of the illumination and a basis vector of the surface reflectance, generating an observation equation that takes as parameters a weight coefficient of the basis vector of the illumination and a weight coefficient of the basis vector of the surface reflectance using the observed spectral information, the constraint on the spectral distribution of the illumination, and the constraint on the surface reflectance of the object, and calculating the spectral distribution of the illumination and the surface reflectance of the object of the scene from the observation equation.

Techniques related to color matching and color conversion are discussed. Such techniques may include determining operators for converting input pixel values to output pixel values in a color space such that the operators may include a set of color conversion matrix operators, a chroma adaptation operator, and/or a luma adaptation operators determined based on one or more perceptual color space values associated with the input pixel values.

A method of adaptive chroma downsampling is presented. The method comprises converting a source image to a converted image in an output color format, applying a plurality of downsample filters to the converted image and estimating a distortion for each filter chose the filter that produces the minimum distortion. The distortion estimation includes applying an upsample filter, and a pixel is output based on the chosen filter. Methods for closed loop conversions are also presented.

The present disclosure discloses an image conversion method for converting RGB signal to RGBW signal and an apparatus thereof. A substitution rate of a W luminance output value of respective pixels in each frame is determined according to RGB luminance input values of the respective pixels in each frame, and accumulated proportions of RGB luminance output values and the W luminance output value in RGBW luminance output values of the respective pixels within a preset time before each frame. The RGBW luminance output values of the respective pixels in each frame is determined according to the determined substitution rate of the W luminance output value and the RGB luminance input values of the respective pixels in each frame. In this way, the RGBW luminance output values of the respective pixels in the present frame can be adjusted according to a utilization rate of respective sub-pixels in the respective pixels within a period of time before each frame, so as to substantially maintain working lives of the respective sub-pixels in the respective pixels uniform as far as possible, and to further improve a service life of an entire display.

Systems and methods of rendering DCI-compliant image data on Enhanced Dynamic Range (EDR) display systems are disclosed. One embodiment of an EDR projector system comprises a first modulator and a second modulator. One method for rendering DCI-compliant image data on an EDR projector system comprises: receiving input image data, said image data comprising a plurality of image formats; determining whether the input image data comprises DCI image data; if the input image data comprises DCI image data, then performing dynamic range (DR) processing on the DCI image data; and rendering the dynamic range processed DCI image data on the EDR projector system. One DR processing method is to set the first modulator to a desired luminance level—e.g., fully ON or a ratio of DCI max luminance to the EDR max luminance. In addition, a desired minimum level of luminance may be set for the EDR projector.

Embodiments of the invention provide a method for scene understanding based on a sequence of image frames. The method comprises converting each pixel of each image frame to neural spikes, and extracting features from the sequence of image frames by processing neural spikes corresponding to pixels of the sequence of image frames. The method further comprises encoding the extracted features as neural spikes, and classifying the extracted features.

A method and system for accurate and precise representation of color for still and moving images, particularly sequences of digitized color images. Spectral and/or extended dynamic range information is retained as images are captured, processed, and presented during color adjustment. Using this extra spectral information, various methodologies for further presenting or processing the color within these images can be optimized. Presentation-device independence is achieved not by attempting to discover a device-independent intermediate representation, but rather by deferring the binding and mapping of color representation onto a presentation device until its actual use.

A method of calibrating a three-dimensional measurement system having a plurality of cameras and at least one projector is provided. The method includes performing a full calibration for each camera/projector pair where the full calibration generates at least two sets of correction matrices. Subsequently, an updated calibration is performed for each camera/projector pair. The updated calibration changes less than all of the sets of correction matrices.
