Abstract:
A process for the treatment of textile materials which comprises applying to the textile material an emulsion or suspension of one or more bleaching agents in a hydrocarbon or halogenated hydrocarbon solvent, substantially removing the solvent from the textile material, and subsequently washing the textile material, and an emulsion or suspension of a bleaching agent for use therein.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of sizing and desizing yarn, or more specifically to a method of coating yarn with size and removing size from yarn with liquid carbon dioxide solvent.
Abstract:
A process is provided for manufacturing a high quality cloth having a width of 150 cm or any width in which likelihood of occurrence of defects such as color shading, rub marks, wrinkles and creases due to fabric dyeing method is eliminated and color fastness is enhanced. A process for manufacturing a woven or knit fabric using yarn dyed silk comprises the steps of dyeing (step 3) sericin which covers the periphery of silk fibers and fibroin which is located inside thereof into the same color; making yarn dyed silk (step 4, 5) by doubling and twisting the dyed silk fibers; making a cloth (step 6) by weaving or knitting the yarn dyed silk swelling (step 7) the yarn, tyed silk which constitutes the cloth by dipping the cloth into hot water in a tub; and decomposing (step 8) sericin of the yarn dyed silk of the cloth with an enzyme in hot water in a tub.
Abstract:
A process for removing finishing agents containing silicone oil from textile substrates in an aqueous medium free of halogenated hydrocarbons, wherein the removing agent is a composition containing, as an essential ingredient, a surfactant carrying cationic groups on the surfactant framework structure, and which may also contain acids, non-ionic surfactants, water-soluble non-ionic polymers and solvents (free of halogenated hydrocarbons).
Abstract:
A resin cleaner composition is provided herein for use as a cleaning solvent to remove cured, partially cured and uncured polyester or vinyl ester resin containing a free radical polymerization initiator from resin fabrication tools. The composition is characterized by the presence therein of a free radical inhibitor which suppresses the rate of free radical polymerization. Thereby the resin can be loaded in increased amounts in the composition without an accompanying increase in polymerization of the resin.
Abstract:
A bath for the simultaneous desizing and bleaching of fabrics comprising hydrogen peroxide, a sequestering agent, an amylase, a surfactant, and a buffer consisting essentially of sodium tetraborate decahydrate. Also, the method for the simultaneous desizing and bleaching a fabric comprising saturating a fabric with the above destarching and bleaching bath, maintaining the saturated fabric for a time and at a temperature sufficient to desize and bleach to the desired degree, and washing the fabric.
Abstract:
Taught is a method of sizing polyester yarn for weaving comprising the steps of applying thereto a latex having an acid pH and of a free radical initiated vinyl polymer having a weight average molecular weight of from about 300,000 to about 2,500,000, said polymer in dried film form being hydrophobic and not redispersible in a solution at a pH of from about 2 to 7 but redispersible by an aqueous alkaline medium, said polymer being prepared from monomers consisting essentially of by weight, 45-65% butyl acrylate a total of 28-45% styrene and/or methyl methacrylate and a total of 8-14% acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid, and drying the yarn.
Abstract:
A cross linked graft polyester comprising the reaction product of a mixture of a polyunsaturated vinyl monomer with an acidic monovinyl monomer having at least one carboxyl group with an unsaturated polyester.
