    摘要: A solar panel support sub-assembly includes a bottom rail, a first top rail and a second top rail, each rail having first and second longitudinally opposite ends. The first end of the bottom rail is pivotally coupled to the first end of the first top rail and the second end of the bottom rail is pivotally coupled to the first end of the second top rail. The sub-assembly also includes a ballast rail having a first end that is pivotally coupled to the bottom rail at a first location intermediate the first and second longitudinally opposite ends of the bottom rail. The sub-assembly may be unfolded for assembly by pivoting the first and second top rails within a first plane and pivoting the ballast rail within a second plane that is normal to the first plane.

The heat pipe (400) includes a heat pipe body (402) having an inner cavity (408), and a wick structure (404) disposed in the inner cavity. The wick structure includes a first woven mesh layer (410) and a second woven mesh layer (412) disposed on the first woven mesh layer. In the heat pipe, the first woven mesh layer is a first weave pattern of thermally conductive fibers (103) having a first warp direction (W3 or W4) and the second woven mesh layer is a second weave pattern of thermally conductive fibers (105) having a second warp direction (W5 or W6). The second woven mesh layer is disposed on the first woven mesh layer such that the first and the second warp directions are rotationally offset by an inter-layer warp offset angle (γi).

    摘要: A fin member for a heat exchanger is produced by repeatedly folding a plate over itself into a corrugated shape to form corrugated fins. The folded sections which are formed by the folding are pressed and deformed into a recessed shape to form engagement recesses. A pipe member through which fluid flows is disposed at the engagement recesses. The pressing and deformation of the engagement recesses cause swollen sections to protrude at both sides of each folded section with respect to the folding-over direction of the folded section and form flat butt surfaces at the tips of the swollen sections. Adjacent butt surfaces are caused to be in surface contact with each other with the pipe member disposed at the engagement recesses.

    摘要: A method is provided for facilitating extraction of heat from a heat-generating electronic component. The method includes providing a heat sink, the heat sink including a thermally conductive structure which has one or more coolant-carrying channels and one or more vapor-condensing channels. A membrane is disposed between the coolant-carrying channel(s) and the vapor-condensing channel(s). The membrane includes at least one vapor-permeable region, at least a portion of which overlies a portion of the coolant-carrying channel(s) and facilitates removal of vapor from the coolant-carrying channel(s) to the vapor-condensing channel(s). The heat sink further includes one or more coolant inlets coupled to provide a first liquid coolant flow to the coolant-carrying channel(s), and a second liquid coolant flow to condense vapor within the vapor-condensing channel(s).

    摘要: The present invention relates to a flat plate heat pipe and a method for manufacturing the same. The heat pipe includes a flattened pipe whose inner surface is coated with a wick structure layer. The interior of the flattened pipe is provided with a sintered supporting layer and a working fluid. The sintered supporting layer has a plurality of posts arranged in the flattened pipe to vertically support therein. With this arrangement, the thickness of the pipe can be reduced but the whole structural strength can be maintained to prevent deformation. Further, a return path for the working fluid can be provided in the pipe. By only sealing two sides of the pipe, a sealed chamber can be formed for the operation of the working fluid. By the inventive method, the manufacturing process can be simplified and a larger space inside the chamber can be obtained.

    摘要: Disclosed is a heat exchanger comprising a boiling passage and cooling passage defined by opposite sides of metal walls. Layers of brazing material between the metal walls and a spacer member bond components of the heat exchanger together. It has been found that good quality brazed joints can be made by modifying the brazing thermal cycle to first employing a temperature of about 500° C. for an extended period of time and then elevating the temperature to about 590° to 600° C.
