    Abstract: A method is provided for optimizing the power consumption of a trip unit. The method comprises sensing a first output from a power system, the first output including a first current and a current-sensing signal; supplying a power supply with only the first current, or with a second current alone or in combination with the first current; powering a microprocessor from the power supply; inputting a second output to the microprocessor indicative of whether the power supply is receiving the second current; operating the microprocessor at a first state when the second output indicates the power supply is not receiving the second current; and operating the microprocessor at a second state when the second output indicates the power supply is receiving the second current alone or in combination with the first current.

    Abstract: A method for dynamically determining tap position in a step voltage regulator is disclosed. A present tap position is determined and the value of an applied voltage across a tap changing mechanism is measured. Based upon the value of the applied voltage, a directional change in the tap position is detected. A trigger signal is also generated which is responsive to a detected change in tap position. Finally, a new tap position is calculated based upon the present tap position and the directional change in the tap position, when the trigger signal indicates that a change in tap position has taken place.

    Abstract: The invention relates to humanized milk. The milk is produced by a non-human transgenic mammal wherein the genome of said transgenic non-human mammal contains at least one heterologous gene encoding for a human catalytic entity and wherein the catalytic entity produces oligosaccharides and glycoconjugates that are present in the milk of said transgenic non-human mammal. An especially useful catalytic entity is human glycosyltransferases which produce oligosaccharides and glyconjugates. Specifically exemplified, is the production of 2'-fucosyl-lactose in the milk of transgenic mice which contain and express a transgene encoding .alpha.-1,2-fucosyltransferase operatively linked to a mammary gland specific promoter. A method of obtaining humanized milk is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of (a) inserting into the genome of a non-human mammal a heterologous gene encoding the production of a human catalytic entity wherein said catalytic entity produces a secondary gene product in the milk of said non-human mammal; and (b) milking said non-human mammal. The humanized milk may be used in the preparation of an enteral nutritional product useful in the nutritive maintenance of an animal.

    Abstract: A closed container has openings at an input end for drawing air into the container and openings at the output end for passing air out of the container. An ozone generator is disposed inside the container adjacent the input end and a corona generator is disposed in the container adjacent the output end. The corona generator includes a dielectric made of a material having a dielectric constant of 1000 or greater. Impure air which is drawn in at the input end passes over the ozone generator whereby the ozone reacts with the impurities of the impure air to provide purified air. The purified air with remaining ozone is passed over the corona generator means to destroy the remaining ozone.

    Abstract: Wastegate assemblies and turbocharger assemblies including the wastegate assemblies are described. The wastegate assemblies include a housing enclosing both an actuator and a valve. The valve is operatively coupled to the actuator and the housing terminates with a crush seal.     Abstract: Noise attenuation units are disclosed that are connectable in a system as part of a fluid flow path.
