Abstract: An apparatus and a method for setting a search region for the predicting of a motion vector are disclosed. The apparatus for setting a search region for predicting a motion vector includes: a computation unit configured to compute differences between an origin vector of a search region for a target block for motion vector prediction and predictive motion vectors of multiple blocks adjacent to the target block, and compute a sum of absolute values of the differences; and a search region setting unit configured to set a range value of the search region for the target block by using at least one of the sum of absolute values of the differences and a directionality of the predictive motion vectors for the multiple adjacent blocks. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the amount of computation and the time expended for computation when predicting motion vectors can be significantly reduced.

Abstract: Provided are an OpenFlow controller that performs DDoS attack detection based on SVM-SOM combination in a software-defined network and a method thereof. The OpenFlow controller collects flow information from multiple OpenFlow switches, extracts predetermined multiple attributes from a flow, classifies a traffic type of the flow on the basis of the extracted attributes, classifies an attack flow on the basis of one or more first attributes among the extracted attributes through an SVM corresponding to the classified traffic type among multiple linear SVMs, and determines whether a flow which is not classified as an attack flow by the SVM is a suspicious pattern through a SOM on the basis of second attributes greater in number than the first attributes among the extracted attributes, and classifies an attack type of the flow classified as an attack flow by the SVM or determined as a suspicious pattern by the SOM.

Abstract: Provided are a paste material, a method of forming the paste material, a wiring member formed from the paste material, and an electronic device including the wiring member. The paste material may include a plurality of liquid metal particles and a polymer binder. The paste material may further include a plurality of nanofillers. At least some of the plurality of nanofillers may each have an aspect ratio equal to or greater than about 3. A content of the plurality of liquid metal particles may be greater than a content of the polymer binder and may be greater than a content of the plurality of nanofillers. The wiring member may be formed by using the paste material, and the wiring member may be used in various electronic devices.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method for determining whether a person is drunk after consuming alcohol capable of analyzing alcohol consumption in a time domain by analyzing a voice, and a recording medium and a terminal for carrying out same. An alcohol consumption-determining terminal comprises: a voice input unit for generating a voice frame by converting an inputted voice signal and outputting the voice frame; a voiced/unvoiced sound analysis unit for determining whether the voice frame inputted through the voice input unit corresponds to a voiced sound, an unvoiced sound, or background noise; a voice frame energy detection unit for extracting the average energy of voice frames which have been determined as a voiced sound by the voiced/unvoiced sound analysis unit; an interval energy detection unit for detecting the average energy of intervals including a plurality of voice frames which have been determined as voiced sounds; and an alcohol consumption determining unit for determining whether a person is drunk after consuming alcohol by extracting a difference value among the average energy of neighboring intervals which have been detected by the interval energy detection unit, thereby determining whether a person is drunk after consuming alcohol by analyzing the voice signal in a time domain.

Abstract: An alcohol consumption determination method includes: detecting an effective frame of an input voice signal; detecting a difference signal of an original signal of the effective frame; performing fast Fourier conversion on the original signal and the difference signal; and determining, in the frequency domain, whether alcohol has been consumed based on a slope difference between the fast-Fourier-transformed original signal and the fast-Fourier-transformed difference signal. Accordingly, it is also possible to determine whether a driver or an operator from a remote location has consumed alcohol and a degree of the consumption, thus preventing an accident caused by an individual operating a vehicle under the influence.

Accordingly, a conveyance path for machining the object being processed can be simplified to increase its efficiency.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a charger capable of diagnosing a lifespan of a battery when the battery is being charged, and a control method thereof. The charger includes a converter applying one of a perturbation voltage and a perturbation current to a battery, and a digital signal processor transmitting a perturbation signal in which an AC signal is added to a DC signal via the converter, measuring an output response of the battery, calculating an impedance spectrum according to the output response of the battery, calculating an impedance parameter by selecting an equivalent circuit according to the impedance spectrum, and estimating a lifespan of the battery by comparing the calculated impedance parameter of the battery with a predetermined impedance parameter of a reference battery.
