The apparatus includes an internal wall, hollow cylindrical joint parts, each of which is joined with the internal wall and having an opening therein, and roll brushes, each of which includes a rotation shaft passing through the opening of the hollow cylindrical joint part, a hollow cylindrical liquid blocking member integrated with the rotation shaft to have an inner diameter larger than an outer diameter of the joint part, and a brush.

Provided are a method for analyzing a video signal from a camera and determining the position, orientation and direction of motion of a predetermined object and a device for the same. The device for video tracking motions of an object includes: a calibration unit for obtaining intrinsic parameters of a video camera; a camera distortion compensation unit for receiving video data, acquiring by the video camera, of a predetermined object on which at least one principal marker is set and removing lens distortion of the received video data using the intrinsic parameters of the camera; a point coordinate extraction unit for receiving video data from which lens distortions are removed by the camera distortion compensation unit, and extracting two-dimensional coordinates of the video data of the principal marker of the object; and a position, orientation and direction of motion estimation unit for estimating and outputting a position, orientation and direction of motion of the object, based on the two-dimensional coordinates input from the coordinate extraction compensation unit, the intrinsic parameters of the camera input from the calibration unit and three-dimensional coordinates displayed on the object. It is possible to set markers on the predetermined object, processing video data of the filmed object and establishing the position, orientation and direction of motion of the object.

The present invention relates to the IL-12p40 subunit mutant gene which can produce IL-12(interleukin 12) of human and mouse origin with high activity, the expression vector including above mutant gene and the use of them to DNA vaccine adjuvant. Particularly, it relates to IL-12p40 mutant gene which inhibits the secretion of IL-12p40 but normally secretes active IL-12p70 by making mutation at Asn-222(human) or Asn-220(mouse) amino acid of IL-12p40, which acts as a competitive inhibitor of active form of IL-12, IL-12p70. Therefore, the IL-12p40 mutant gene of the present invention can be useful for DNA vaccination and gene therapy against various diseases, for example, AIDS, hepatitis C or hepatitis B, cancer, influenza, tuberculosis and malaria, which essentially require cellular immune responses for their therapy.

A bio sample processing apparatus and method using vacuum chambers in which a bio sample is injected into a first vacuum chamber connected with one end of a bio processor and, after processing, is ejected into a second vacuum chamber connected with the other end of the bio processor. The vacuum chambers and bio processor are connected with each other to form an environment with a pressure lower than atmospheric pressure, and the bio sample moves toward the second vacuum chamber due to the pressure difference created by the injection of the bio sample into the first vacuum chamber.

A wafer sawing apparatus comprises an electrically conductive chuck table surrounding a suction plate and tactile sensing lines formed on the upper surface of the suction plate. At least one end of each tactile sensing line is electrically connected to the table body. A controller controls the chuck table and a scribing blade. The controller is electrically connected to both elements. The controller comprises a tactile sensing unit connected to the table body for sensing contact of the scribing blade with the tactile sensing lines or the table body and an equipment stop unit for stopping the scribing blade. The controller further comprises a zero point adjusting unit for receiving a contact signal from the tactile sensing unit and for adjusting a zero point of the scribing blade, and a switching unit connecting the tactile sensing unit to the zero point adjusting unit or the equipment stop unit.

A jitter control apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a first optical prism installed to be rectilinearly transferable in a right-angled direction with respect to an optical axis for refracting and transmitting incident light so that the angle of emission is smaller than the angle of incidence with respect to the transfer direction, a first actuator for rectilinearly transferring the first optical prism, a second optical prism installed to be adjacent to the first optical prism and rectilinearly transferred in a right-angled direction with respect to the direction in which the first optical prism is transferred for refracting and transmitting the incident light so that the angle of emission is smaller than the angle of incidence with respect to the direction in which the second optical prism is transferred, and a second actuator for rectilinearly transferring the second optical prism, wherein the image formed on the photographing screen is prevented from vibrating by appropriately transferring the first and second optical prisms according to the degree of jitter of the incident image.

A method for controlling the print heads of an ink-jet printer includes the steps of: setting a printing direction and a print head type; loading printing data; removing odd and even data bits from the loaded printing data; determining the set printing direction; transmitting odd data and then even data and latching the transmitted odd data and then latching the transmitted even data, when the determined printing direction is a first direction; transmitting the odd data and then the even data and latching the transmitted odd data and then latching the transmitted even data, when the determined printing direction is a second direction; storing the first-latched data when the head type is monochrome; storing the second-latched data when the head type is color; and generating print data according to the stored data. A circuit for achieving the method is also provided.

A momentum-based balance controller controls a humanoid robot to maintain balance. The balance controller derives desired rates of change of linear and angular momentum from desired motion of the robot. The balance controller then determines desired center of pressure (CoP) and desired ground reaction force (GRF) to achieve the desired rates of change of linear and angular momentum. The balance controller determines admissible CoP, GRF, and rates of change of linear and angular momentum that are optimally close to the desired value while still allowing the robot to maintain balance. The balance controller controls the robot to maintain balance based on a human motion model such that the robot's motions are human-like. Beneficially, the robot can maintain balance even when subjected to external perturbations, or when it encounters non-level and/or non-stationary ground.
