Abstract: An aspect of an embodiment or partial embodiment of the present invention (or combinations of various embodiments in whole or in part of the present invention) comprises, but not limited thereto, a method and system (and related computer program product) for continually assessing the risk of hypoglycemia for a patient and then determining what action to take based on that risk assessment. A further embodiment results in two outputs: (1) an attenuation factor to be applied to the insulin rate command sent to the pump (either via conventional therapy or via open or closed loop control) and/or (2) a red/yellow/green light hypoglycemia alarm providing to the patient an indication of the risk of hypoglycemia. The two outputs of the CPHS can be used in combination or individually.

Abstract: Provided are methods and kits for detecting an extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) in a biological sample. In some embodiments, the method comprises treating the biological sample to produce a tagged linearized fragment of genomic DNA; and determining whether the tagged linearized fragment is derived from an eccDNA to thereby detect the eccDNA. In some embodiments, the treating of the biological sample to produce a tagged linearized fragment of genomic DNA comprises treating the biological sample with an insertional enzyme complex to produce a tagged linearized fragment of genomic DNA.

Abstract: Apparatus or techniques can include an applicator that can include an expandable element and an ultrasonic transducer. Abstract: A microfluidic device can include an upstream passage, a sample passage, a bifurcating passage, and a combining passage. The upstream passage can be configured to provide a focusing stream. The sample passage can be configured to provide a sample stream. The bifurcating passage can include a specified bifurcating flow resistance. The combining passage can be configured to create a combined stream from the focusing stream and the sample stream, where the focusing stream can direct the sample stream away from the upstream passage and toward the bifurcating passage. A first portion of the combined stream can be discharged through the bifurcating passage. The main discharge can be configured to discharge a second portion of the combined stream. The main discharge can include a main discharge resistance that is selectable to vary the main discharge resistance relative to the bifurcating flow resistance.
