摘要: An interlocking mechanism of both-side lock recliner for an automotive seat which has an interlocking mechanism for simultaneously controlling the lock and the release of right and left engaging mechanisms mounted at both sides of the seat and including right and left manipulating levers, auxiliary levers provided symmetrically at both sides of the seat, and an interlocking rod including hook formed at both ends thereof for engaging between the auxiliary levers of both sides. Thus, the interlocking mechanism can exactly transmit the manipulating force of the handle in the engaging portion between the interlocking rod end and the member engaged with the interlocking rod end without enhancing the dimensional accuracy.

摘要: A process for producing an alumina sintered product is disclosed wherein the starting alumina mixture contains about 0.01 to 0.55% by weight of MgO and 0.5 to 5.5% by weight of Y.sub.2 O.sub.3. The process yields a sintered product having a porosity on the order of less than 0.1% by volume and an average crystal grain size of about 2 microns or less and is particularly suitable for use in high speed microfinish cutting.

摘要: A three-way catalyst and an NOx adsorption catalyst are disposed in an engine exhaust passage. In a predetermined low-load engine operation area, combustion in a combustion chamber is carried out at a lean base air-fuel ratio and an air-fuel ratio in the combustion chamber is changed to a rich range at the time of discharging NOx from the NOx adsorption catalyst. In a predetermined high-load engine operation area, the air-fuel ratio in the combustion chamber is controlled to a theoretical air-fuel ratio in a feedback manner. In a predetermined middle-load engine operation area, the combustion in the combustion chamber is carried out at the base air-fuel ratio lower than the base air-fuel ratio in the low-load engine operation area and the air-fuel ratio in the combustion chamber is changed to the rich range with a period shorter than a rich period of the air-fuel ratio for discharging NOx in the low-load engine operation area.

摘要: An object is to provide an exhaust purifying system for an internal combustion engine having an NSR catalyst, which can inhibit emissions from being aggravated by blow-by of NOx. An exhaust purifying system for an internal combustion engine capable of a lean burn operation is provided. The exhaust purifying system includes: an NSR catalyst disposed in an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine; an SCR disposed downstream of the NSR catalyst; a NOx sensor disposed downstream of the SCR, the NOx sensor producing an output according to an NH3 concentration; and rich spike means for performing a rich spike. The rich spike means starts the rich spike at a predetermined timing during a lean burn operation and terminates the rich spike at a timing when the NOx sensor issues a predetermined output characteristic indicative of a rise in the NH3 concentration.

For this purpose, an exhaust gas purification apparatus for an internal combustion engine selectively executes first control in which an air-fuel ratio of an exhaust gas allowed to flow into an exhaust gas purification catalyst is set to be not more than a theoretical air-fuel ratio to remove a sulfur component from the exhaust gas purification catalyst; and second control in which the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas allowed to flow into the exhaust gas purification catalyst is set to an air-fuel ratio that is lower than the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas set in the first control to remove the sulfur component from the exhaust gas purification catalyst; wherein the exhaust gas purification apparatus for the internal combustion engine comprises a control unit which executes any one of the first control and the second control on the basis of at least one of purification performance of the exhaust gas purification catalyst, a travel distance of a vehicle that carries the internal combustion engine, and a number of times of removal of the sulfur component from the exhaust gas purification catalyst.

For this purpose, an exhaust gas purification apparatus comprises a three-way catalyst; an NH3-producing catalyst; and a selective catalytic reduction NOx catalyst; the catalysts being provided in this order at an exhaust gas passage; and the exhaust gas purification apparatus further comprising a control device which carries out rich spike for lowering an air-fuel ratio of an exhaust gas from a lean air-fuel ratio to a predetermined rich air-fuel ratio; wherein the control device lengthens an interval of the rich spike if a temperature of the three-way catalyst is lower than a threshold value as a lower limit value of a temperature of activation as compared with if the temperature of the three-way catalyst is not less than the threshold value.

摘要: In cases where an NOx selective reduction catalyst is provided at a location downstream of an NOx storage reduction catalyst, NOx purification performance in an exhaust gas purification apparatus as a whole is maintained, irrespective of deterioration of the NOx storage reduction catalyst. For this purpose, the reduction of NOx in the NOx storage reduction catalyst is promoted more when the degree of deterioration of the NOx storage reduction catalyst or the NOx selective reduction catalyst is low than when it is high, and the reduction of NOx in the NOx selective reduction catalyst is promoted more when the degree of deterioration of the NOx storage reduction catalyst or the NOx selective reduction catalyst is high than when it is low.

摘要: An operation device comprises: a plurality of operation members attached to a common supporting member; and a plurality of inserting components having the same configurations with one another. The operation members include latching apertures for securing the inserting components to the operation members and include a plurality of kinds of structure to be attached to the common supporting member so that opening directions of the latching apertures are different from one another. The inserting components include a plurality of latching projections that protrude outward from a main body, and have configurations that can engage the latching apertures in any one of the operation members. The latching projections protrude from the main body in a plurality of directions corresponding to the opening directions of the latching apertures so that any one of the latching projections can engage the latching aperture in any one of the operation members.
