Abstract: A display device and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. A display device includes: a substrate including a plurality of pixels; a first electrode and a second electrode spaced apart from each other on the substrate; a light emitting element located between the first electrode and the second electrode; and a conductive pattern on the light emitting element. The light emitting element includes a first semiconductor layer, a second semiconductor layer, and an active layer between the first semiconductor layer and the second semiconductor layer, and the conductive pattern overlaps the active layer and does not overlap the first semiconductor layer or the second semiconductor layer.

Abstract: A display device comprises a substrate including a display area and a non-display area, and pixels disposed in the display area, each of the pixels including sub-pixels. Each of sub-pixels includes a pixel circuit layer, and a display element layer including at least one light emitting element. The display element layer includes first and second electrodes spaced apart from each other, the light emitting element disposed between the first electrode and second electrode, a first contact electrode that electrically connects an end of the light emitting element to the first electrode, and a second contact electrode that electrically connects another end of the light emitting element to the second electrode. Each of sub-pixels includes a first area in which the pixel circuit layer is disposed, and a second area adjacent to the first area. The second area includes a transmission area through which the light passes.

Abstract: A display device including a substrate and a plurality of pixels in a display region of the substrate. The second light emitting element and the light receiving element in the second sub-pixel are electrically insulated from and optically coupled to each other to form a photo-coupler.
