    摘要: An electric control device 70 is applied to an internal combustion engine 10 capable of a pre-mixed charge compression ignition combustion in which air-fuel mixture gas including air and fuel injected from an injector 37 is formed in a combustion chamber 25, and the air-fuel mixture gas is self-ignited to be combusted by compressing the air-fuel mixture gas during a compression stroke. The electric control device injects high pressure fluid such as air from the air injection valve 38 into the air-fuel mixture gas at a predetermined acting timing within a compression stroke prior to fuel pyrolysis starting timing to enhance the temperature un-uniformity of the air-fuel mixture gas. This enables the temperature un-uniformity of the air-fuel mixture gas at the fuel pyrolysis starting timing to become larger than the temperature un-uniformity of the air-fuel mixture gas at the fuel pyrolysis starting timing obtained only by simply compressing the air-fuel mixture gas during the compression stroke. As a result, the combustion is moderated and the combustion noise is reduced.

    摘要: A control device is applied to a multi-cylinder 4-cycle charge compression ignition-type internal combustion engine. The control device operates to open an exhaust valve in an exhaust stroke of each cylinder, operates to close an intake valve before an intake bottom dead center, and then, operates to open the exhaust valve again before the intake bottom dead center. An exhaust flow rate regulating valve is disposed in a collecting portion of an exhaust path and its opening is controlled. Hereby, a period in which the exhaust valve is open in an intake stroke of one cylinder and a period in which the exhaust valve is open in an exhaust stroke of another cylinder partially overlap each other. Combustion gas pushed out of a combustion chamber of the other cylinder in the overlapping period is pushed into a combustion chamber of the one cylinder via the exhaust path.

    摘要: In a knocking control apparatus for a spark-ignition internal combustion engine, the full-wave rectified output from a vibration sensor is integrated and summed with a constant offset voltage to provide a variable reference signal. The integration time constant is selected to be no more than approximately five times the rise time from inception to maximum value of each knocking occurrence, such that the reference value can remain above the envelope of the background vibrations of the engine, which have a much longer rise time than do the knocking vibrations, without being set too high to detect knocking in a cylinder remote from the location of the vibration sensor. The rectified output of the vibration sensor is directly compared with the reference signal to generate a knocking control pulse each time the alternating sensor output exceeds the reference value.
