摘要: A control system for a compression-ignition engine is provided, which includes an engine having a combustion chamber, an injector configured to supply fuel into the combustion chamber, a spark plug, a swirl valve provided to an intake passage of the engine, and a controller connected to the injector, the spark plug and the swirl valve to control them. The controller includes a processor configured to execute a swirl adjusting module to adjust an opening of the swirl valve to generate a swirl flow inside the combustion chamber, a fuel injection timing controlling module to control a fuel injection timing and control the injector to retard the fuel injection timing as an engine speed increases, and a combustion controlling module to control the spark plug to ignite at a given ignition timing after the swirl generation and the fuel injection, so that partial compression-ignition combustion is performed.

摘要: A control system for a compression-ignition engine is provided, which includes an engine having a combustion chamber formed by a cylinder, a piston and a cylinder head, an injector, a spark plug, an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) device configured to introduce into the combustion chamber a portion of burned gas generated inside the combustion chamber as EGR gas, an EGR controller to change an EGR ratio, the EGR controller changing the EGR ratio so that a compression start temperature of the combustion chamber rises as an engine speed increases, and a controller connected to the injector and the spark plug to control them. The controller includes a processor configured to execute a combustion controlling module to output an ignition instruction to the spark plug so as to ignite at an ignition timing after the EGR ratio adjustment so that partial compression-ignition combustion is performed.

摘要: A control device for an engine in which partial compression-ignition combustion including SI combustion performed by forcibly combusting a portion of mixture gas inside a cylinder followed by CI combustion performed by causing the rest of the mixture gas inside the cylinder to self-ignite is executed within a part of an operating range of the engine, is provided. The device includes a detector configured to detect a parameter related to noise caused by the combustion inside the cylinder, a memory configured to store a characteristic defining a relationship between a start timing of the CI combustion and a combustion noise index, and a processor configured to specify a given combustion noise index value based on the detection value of the detector, and control the start timing of the CI combustion.

A controller includes an executable instruction set to control the engine in a compression-ignition mode when the output torque request indicates a low load condition, including instructions to control a variable valve actuation system and control the plasma ignition system to execute plasma discharge events subsequent to controlling the fuel injection system to execute a fuel injection event, wherein the fuel injection event achieves a cylinder charge having a lean air/fuel ratio.

摘要: A control system of a compression-ignition engine is provided, which includes an engine configured to cause combustion of a mixture gas inside the combustion chamber, an injector attached to the engine and configured to inject fuel into the combustion chamber, a spark plug disposed to be oriented into the combustion chamber and configured to ignite the mixture gas inside the combustion chamber, and a controller connected to the injector and the spark plug and configured to operate the engine by outputting a control signal to the injector and the spark plug, respectively. After the spark plug ignites the mixture gas to start combustion, unburned mixture gas combusts by self-ignition. The controller outputs the control signal to the injector so that a fuel injection timing is advanced when the engine operates at a high speed than at a low speed.

摘要: An internal combustion engine comprising the fuel injector arranged in the combustion chamber. The primary fuel injection and the secondary fuel injection from the fuel injector are successively performed to cause autoignition of an injected fuel of the primary fuel injection and autoignition of an injected fuel of the secondary fuel injection. A temperature region suppressing change of an ignition delay time where a change of ignition delay time with respect to a rise in temperature in the combustion chamber is suppressed appears in the compression stroke at a temperature in the combustion chamber of 700K to 900K. The secondary fuel injection is performed if the temperature in the combustion chamber is a temperature within the temperature region suppressing change of the ignition delay time during the compression stroke. The primary fuel injection is performed during the compression stroke or suction stroke before the temperature in the combustion chamber reaches a temperature in the temperature region suppressing change of the ignition delay time at a fuel injection timing at which the injected fuel of the secondary fuel injection is autoignited after the injected fuel of the primary fuel injection is autoignited.

摘要: A combustion control apparatus for an internal combustion engine includes a spark plug for performing spark ignition of an air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber, a plurality of coil pairs for generating spark discharge in the spark plug, and a fuel injection valve capable of injecting atomized fuel. Atomized fuel is injected into the intake passage, and a homogeneous lean air-fuel mixture is formed in the combustion chamber. The air-fuel ratio of the air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber is controlled to be leaner than a predetermined lean air-fuel ratio. A spark discharge start timing and a spark discharge continuation time period are controlled using the plurality of coil pairs. The spark discharge start timing is set to a timing advanced from the spark discharge start timing for igniting a stratified lean mixture, such that the air-fuel ratio in the vicinity of the spark plug is relatively small.

The pressure control module is configured to maintain a pressure in the first fuel injector supply conduit within a pressure range that includes a pressure value that is less than a pressure inside the storage tank. The pump is configured to maintain a pressure inside the second fuel injector supply conduit that is greater than the pressure inside the first fuel injector supply conduit.

摘要: An object is to improve the combustion condition in an internal combustion engine equipped with a supercharger and performing diesel combustion using fuel having a relatively high self-ignition temperature in an operation state in which the engine load is increased or decreased. A control apparatus performs first injection during the compression stroke, causes spray guide combustion to occur, and starts to perform second injection at such a second injection time that combustion of injected fuel is started by flame generated by the spray guide combustion, thereby causing self-ignition and diffusion combustion of fuel to occur. During a response delay period in changing the boost pressure when changing the engine load of the internal combustion engine to a target engine load, the ratio of the quantity of fuel injected by the first injection to the total fuel injection quantity in one combustion cycle is made higher than the ratio of the quantity of fuel injected in the first injection to the total fuel injection quantity in one combustion cycle during the time when the engine load is equal to the target engine load and the actual boost pressure is equal to a target boost pressure corresponding to the target engine load.

摘要: A gasoline direct-injection engine is provided. The engine performs compression self-ignition combustion, and includes a cylinder, an injector, intake and exhaust ports, intake and exhaust valves, and an ozone generating system for generating ozone inside the cylinder. The system includes an electrode projecting into the cylinder while being partially electrically insulated from walls of the cylinder, and a high-voltage control device for applying a controlled pulse-shaped voltage to the electrode. When the voltage is applied, electric discharge occurs between the non-insulated part of the electrode and the walls of the cylinder, and ozone is generated inside the cylinder due to an effect of the electric discharge. A combustion pattern is provided, in which a compression stroke injection is performed and mixture gas formed by the fuel injection self-ignites to combust. When the combustion pattern is applied, the high-voltage control device is operated on intake stroke or the compression stroke.
