The switch includes pool select logic which selects a free buffer from the reserved pool for storing data received from an ingress port to be forwarded to the egress port. The shared memory also includes a shared pool of buffers. The shared pool of buffers is shared by a plurality of egress ports. The pool select logic selects a free buffer in the shared pool upon detecting no free buffer in the reserved pool. The shared memory may also include a multicast pool of buffers. The multicast pool of buffers is shared by a plurality of egress ports. The pool select logic selects a free buffer in the multicast pool upon detecting an IP Multicast data packet received from an ingress port.

    摘要: An orthopedic prosthesis for implantation into a bone of a patient includes a porous metal shell adapted to be affixed within the bone. The porous metal shell includes an outer surface adapted to receive bone ingrowth and an inner surface adapted to engage a liner. The porous metal shell is porous from the outer surface to the inner surface. A non-porous member may be affixed to the porous metal shell. The non-porous member may include a piercing member extending from the outer surface, the piercing member adapted to penetrate the bone in an implanted position. The non-porous member may include spikes or fins. In one example, the piercing member may define a reduced material cross section at an interface with the outer surface of the porous metal shell. The piercing member may be adapted to be broken at the reduced material cross section and removed from the porous metal shell.

    摘要: A dynamic transducer having a voice coil attached to and suspended between two diaphragms that comprise two opposite sides of an enclosure. The voice coil is suspended within the enclosure on a center support that passes through the enclosure and is attached to the diaphragms. Within the enclosure, an annular magnet having a hollow cylindrical ferromagnetic core is disposed between two annular ferromagnetic plates and is attached to one of the plates. A narrow gap is formed within the magnetic structure. The voice coil travels within the gap and is attached to a non-ferromagnetic shaft that extends through the hollow cylindrical ferromagnetic core. The voice coil is fastened to the diaphragm comprising each side of the housing, so that the diaphragms move to produce audible sound. An internal fusing mechanism is directly attached to the voice coil to protect the coil against thermal and electrical overload.
