摘要: A yaw moment control system is provided to eliminate an under-steering tendency generated due to the insufficiency of a cornering force of front driven wheels of a vehicle. More specifically, in place of a longitudinal acceleration Xg and a lateral acceleration Yg used for calculating the amount of torque distributed, a corrected longitudinal acceleration Xg' larger than the value directly proportional to the longitudinal acceleration Xg and a corrected lateral acceleration Yg' larger than the value directly proportional to the lateral acceleration Yg are used, thereby increasing the amount of torque distributed to between inner and outer wheels during turning of the vehicle. A yaw moment is generated which is directed inwards in the turning direction to prevent the under-steering tendency which is generated due to the insufficiency of the cornering force of the front wheels.

摘要: A yaw moment control system for a vehicle is provided to prevent the reduction of the turning performance during traveling of a vehicle at a low speed, which is designed, so that a driving force and a braking force are distributed to inner and outer wheels during turning of the vehicle in order to eliminate an over-steering tendency produced upon deceleration of the vehicle during turning thereof, thereby enhancing the stability during traveling of the vehicle at a high speed. A longitudinal acceleration Xg calculated in a longitudinal acceleration calculating circuit, a lateral acceleration Yg calculated in a lateral acceleration calculating circuit and a correcting factor Kv determined in a correcting factor determining circuit are multiplied by a control amount calculating circuit. Torque proportional to the resulting product is distributed to left and right wheels to eliminate the over-steering tendency produced upon deceleration of the vehicle during the turning thereof. When the vehicle is being decelerated and the vehicle speed V is smaller, the correcting factor Kv assumes a value smaller than 1.0, and at the other time, the correcting factor Kv assumes a value of 1.0. Therefore, when the vehicle is traveling at a low vehicle speed, an under-steering tendency can be prevented from being produced by the distribution of the torque, thereby preventing the reduction in turning performance.

摘要: A ring gear of a differential connected to an engine, and a sun gear and a planetary carrier are connected to left and right output shafts of the differential. A first pinion and a second pinion integrally formed and having different circle radii are carried on a carrier member which is rotatably fitted over the left output shaft. The first pinion is connected to the right output shaft, while the second pinion is connected to the left output shaft. When a hydraulic clutch is brought into an engaged state during clockwise turning of a vehicle, the carrier member is decelerated to accelerate a left front wheel, and a torque is transmitted to the left front wheel. When a hydraulic clutch is brought into an engaged state during counterclockwise turning of a vehicle, the carrier member is accelerated to accelerate a right front wheel, and a torque is transmitted to the right front wheel.

摘要: A torque distributing mechanism includes a first and a second planetary gear mechanism. Among pairs of planetary carriers, ring gears and sun gears in these planetary gear mechanisms, one of the pairs are coupled to two output elements of a differential; another pair are relatively non-rotatably connected to each other, and one of the components of the remaining pair is fixed, while the other is connected to a driving source. Thus, it is possible to reduce the diametrical dimension and weight of the torque distributing mechanism and to improve the degree of freedom in design.

摘要: A drive force distribution control system for a motor vehicle controls a drive force distribution ratio between drive road wheels based on a steering torque and a lateral acceleration. The drive force distribution control system includes a drive force distribution mechanism for varying the distribution ratio between drive forces to be applied to the drive road wheels, a steering force sensor for detecting the magnitude and direction of the steering force applied to steer the motor vehicle, a lateral acceleration sensor for detecting the lateral acceleration applied to the motor vehicle, a control unit for determining a target distribution ratio between drive forces to be applied to the drive road wheels based on the steering force detected by the steering force sensor and the lateral acceleration detected by the lateral acceleration sensor, and a drive mechanism for actuating the drive force distribution mechanism so that the drive force distribution ratio between the drive forces to be applied to the drive road wheels will be equalized to the target distribution ratio determined by the control unit.

摘要: An independent rear suspension system according to the invention comprises two parallel lateral links having outboard ends mounted via respective elastic bushes on a wheel support carrying a road wheel and inboard ends mounted via respective elastic bushes on a vehicle body. The inboard end of the front lateral link is mounted about an inclined pivot axis. This pivot axis is so inclined from the vehicle longitudinal axis as to provide an arrangement whereby when a force is applied to a portion of the front lateral link near the inboard end thereof in a direction along the inclined pivot axis, the front lateral link moves transversely with respect to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle further than the rear lateral link does, causing a toe angle of the road wheel to vary.

摘要: A drive force control method for a four-wheel drive vehicle having front wheels as main drive wheels always connected to a driving source, rear wheels as auxiliary drive wheels whose drive torque is adjustable, and a mechanism capable of adjusting a torque distribution ratio between the front wheels and the rear wheels so that the torque distribution ratio of the rear wheels to the front wheels is increased in turning and also capable of adjusting a torque distribution ratio between the right and left rear wheels in turning. The drive force control method includes the steps of detecting a vehicle speed, and gently decreasing the torque distribution ratio of a turning outer wheel to a turning inner wheel with an increase in the vehicle speed. When the transmission shift position is a low-speed position or a high-speed position or the vehicle is in reverse running, the torque distribution ratio of the turning outer wheel to the turning inner wheel is decreased.
