    摘要: The present invention is directed toward a bioremediation product, its method of manufacture and method of use. A blend of microorganisms, cleansers and surfactants is disclosed which is non-toxic and solvent free, and which has the ability to accelerate the breaking down process of oils, materials such as benzene, toluene, and xylene (BTEX); petroleum hydrocarbon fractions F1-F4 (as defined by CCME2000), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), paraffin waxes, volatile organics, molds, and the like; while simultaneously providing a biological component which is effective to reduce the total petroleum hydrocarbon levels to zero at an accelerated rate. The product is useful for bioremediation and as an oil dispersant composition useful in treating oil spills, and for cleanup of the shoreline, animals, plants, and equipment.

    摘要: Systems and methods for treatment of produced water form a steam assisted gravity drain operation are presented in which tight emulsions, total organic compounds, and solids are removed using a skim tanks that receives a multiphase mixture formed from a demulsifier and the produced water and that produces pre-treated water. The so formed pre-treated water is then subject to further total organic compounds reduction via combination with one or more oxidizing biocide to so form treated water that can be fed to a once through steam generator (OTSG) for re-injection into a formation.

    摘要: The clean-up of crude oil is accomplished using an oil solubilizing agent from a class of onium halides to solubilize the oil in water. The oil solubilizing agent includes a quaternary phosphonium halide, a quaternary ammonium halide, or a ternary sulfonium halide. The onium halide also includes a hydrophobic hydrocarbon chain having from 10 to 24 carbon atoms, and can include both aromatic and aliphatic components.

    摘要: Disclosed are methods of removing oil from an aqueous surface, comprising: surrounding an oil spot on the aqueous surface with an oil-absorbing material; and introducing a solution comprising a surfactant to the oil spot. Also disclosed are the above methods where the oil is not mechanically directed towards the oil-absorbing material, or where the oil-absorbing material is not mechanically directed towards the oil. Also disclosed are the above methods further comprising introducing a solution comprising a protein/surfactant complex to the oil spot, where the protein/surfactant complex comprises a protein component obtained from the fermentation of yeast, comprising a mixture of multiple intracellular proteins, at least a portion of the mixture including yeast polypeptides obtained from fermenting yeast and yeast stress proteins resulting from subjecting a mixture obtained from the yeast fermentation to stress.
