Abstract: The disclosure described herein is directed to a computerized system and method of grading and authenticating collectibles utilizing digital imaging devices and processes to provide an objective, standardized, consistent high-resolution grading of collectible objects, such as but not limited to sport and non-sport trading cards. The disclosure eliminates the subjectivity present in the human grading process and overcomes the inherent limitations of the human eye.

Abstract: A system trains a facial recognition modeling system using an extremely large data set of facial images, by distributing a plurality of facial recognition models across a plurality of nodes within the facial recognition modeling system. The system optimizes a facial matching accuracy of the facial recognition modeling system by increasing a facial image set variance among the plurality of facial recognition models. The system selectively matches each facial image within the extremely large data set of facial images with at least one of the plurality of facial recognition models. The system reduces the time associated with training the facial recognition modeling system by load balancing the extremely large data set of facial images across the plurality of facial recognition models while improving the facial matching accuracy associated with each of the plurality of facial recognition models.

Abstract: A method including the steps of: receiving, by a computer system including at least one computer, a first electronic media work uploaded from a first electronic device; extracting one or more features from the first electronic media work; linking the first electronic media work with a reference electronic media work identifier associated with a reference electronic media work to generate correlation information using an approximate nearest neighbor search; storing the correlation information; receiving, from a second electronic device, a query related to the first electronic media work; correlating the query with action information related to an action to be performed and associated with the reference electronic media work identifier based at least in part on the correlation information; generating machine-readable instructions based upon the action information; and providing to the second electronic device, the machine-readable instructions to be used in performing the action.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed including a computer storage medium, comprising instructions that when executed by one or more processors included in an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), cause the UAV to perform operations, comprising: receiving, by the UAV, a flight plan configured to direct the UAV to fly a flight path having a plurality of waypoints adjacent to and above a structure and to capture sensor data of the structure from a camera on the UAV while the UAV is flying the flight path; adjusting an angle of an optical axis of the camera mounted to a gimbal to a predetermined angle within a range of 25 degrees to 75 degrees relative to a downward direction, and capturing sensor data of at least a portion of a roof of the structure with the optical axis of the camera aligned with at least one predetermined location on the structure.

Abstract: Disclosed is a secure telephone call management system for authenticating users of a telephone system in an institutional facility. Authentication of the users is accomplished by using a personal identification number, preferably in conjunction with speaker independent voice recognition and speaker dependent voice identification. When a user first enters the system, the user speaks his or her name which is used as a sample voice print. During each subsequent use of the system, the user is required to speak his or her name. Voice identification software is used to verify that the provided speech matches the sample voice print. The secure system includes accounting software to limit access based on funds in a user's account or other related limitations. Management software implements widespread or local changes to the system and can modify or set any number of user account parameters.

Abstract: Various aspects of the subject technology relate to systems, methods, and machine-readable media for identification of a salient portion of an image. A system may receive user input identifying a search query for content from a client device. The system may determine a listing of images responsive to the search query from an image collection. The system may obtain one or more image crops for at least one image of the listing of images based on a saliency map of the at least one image. In one or more implementations, each of the one or more image crops indicates a salient region of a corresponding image. The system may provide a set of search results responsive to the search query to the client device. In one or more implementations, the set of search results includes the obtained one or more image crops in a prioritized listing of image crops.
