Abstract: Disclosed are a method, a first electronic audio device, and a system comprising at least a first electronic audio device and a second electronic audio device for performing audio communication between at least the first electronic audio device and the second electronic audio device. The electronic audio devices are configured for wireless communication via a wireless connection. The electronic audio devices are configured to transmit and/or receive audio directly between them via the wireless connection. The electronic audio devices comprise a speaker and a microphone. At least the first electronic audio device is configured to operate and/or communicate in at least three modes for controlling audio to be transmitted from the first electronic audio device to the speaker of the second electronic audio device: a first mode where the transmitted audio is, such as solely, an output from the speaker in the first electronic audio device; a second mode where the transmitted audio is, such as solely, an input from the microphone in the first electronic audio device; a third mode where the transmitted audio is, such as both, an output from the speaker of the first electronic audio device and an input from the microphone of the first electronic audio device.

Abstract: A headset includes a wearable body, first and second earphones extending from the wearable body, controls for controlling an external communication/multimedia device wirelessly, a microphone for picking up vocal data from a user of the headset system and a signal processing unit. The signal processing unit includes circuitry for processing the vocal data into a distinctly audible vocal feedback signal, circuitry for enhancing the vocal feedback signal thereby producing an enhanced vocal feedback signal and circuitry for mixing the enhanced vocal feedback signal with audio signals originating from the external communication/multimedia device, thereby producing a mixed output signal and then sending the mixed output signal to the user via the earphones. The external communication/multimedia device comprises a vocal command application and the headset further comprises a vocal command control for sending vocal commands to the external communication/multimedia device and to the vocal command application.

Abstract: Many types of earpiece include a memory to which media items stored on a second device, such as music, audiobooks, and podcasts, may be transferred as requested by a user. However, it may be advantageous to configure the earpiece and/or the to fill the memory automatically with media items of predicted interest to the user in the manner of a cache. In such earpieces, interruption of the connection between the earpiece and the second device does not interrupt a currently streaming media item, and the earpiece is capable of playing additional media items of predicted interest to the user even if the user has not requested transfer to the earpiece. Other uses of the cache include adding appointments from a calendar of the second device for presentation by the earpiece as reminders during disconnection, and storing notes on the earpiece that are automatically transferred back to the second device.

Abstract: A voice input/output device is connected to a smart device having a voice signal input/output function is provided.
