摘要: A lubricant formulation for an electric or hybrid vehicle includes a base oil, or a blend thereof, one or more additives, and a molybdenum amine complex, such as diisotridecylamine molybdate, are provided. Lubricant formulations can be characterized by one of: improving electric motor protection when a voltage is applied to an electrode in the presence of a formulation comprising the diisotridecylamine molybdate additive as compared to a fluid lacking the diisotridecylamine molybdate additive; maintaining the electrical resistance slope of a formulation comprising the diisotridecylamine molybdate additive as compared to a fluid lacking the diisotridecylamine molybdate additive; the formulation forming a protective film on copper surfaces; a change in color of the formulation indicating contact load, temperature, time, or viscosity change.

[Solving Means] The above problem is solved by providing a plate-like alumina particle including a step of firing an aluminum compound in the presence of a shape-controlling agent and a molybdenum compound serving as a fluxing agent. The above problem is solved also by providing a method for producing a plate-like alumina particle, the method including a step in which the aluminum compound and the molybdenum compound react with each other to form aluminum molybdate and a step in which the aluminum molybdate is decomposed to obtain the plate-like alumina particle.-

摘要: A lubricant additive may be synthesized by forming a nanohybrid of a transition metal dichalcogenide and a metal borate, forming a base oil, and then dispersing the transition metal dichalcogenide into the base oil. An exemplary nanohybrid may be synthesized by forming a first solution by adding a borax solution to an aqueous solution of a metal source, forming a second solution by adding ethanol to the first solution, forming a mixture by mixing the transition metal dichalcogenide with the second solution, and heating the mixture at a temperature of 180° C. to 230° C. and a pressure of 5 to 20 bar under a nitrogen atmosphere.

摘要: A transmission fluid composition contains a major amount of a lubricating oil basestock, and a minor amount of an additive package comprising: (i) a mixture comprising two or more phosphites and/or phosphates; (ii) one or more thioester compounds; (iii) one or more zinc dihydrocarbyl dithiophosphate compounds; and (iv) one or more oil-soluble or dispersible molybdenum-containing compounds. Such a transmission fluid may be used for controlling and/or reducing wear, e.g., in a manual transmission.

摘要: A grease composition for a constant-velocity joint includes a mineral oil, a thickener, a molybdenum dithiocarbamate, a potassium borate hydrate, and a zinc dialkyldithiophosphate, wherein a content of the molybdenum dithiocarbamate is 1.2% by mass or more and 8% by mass or less, a content of the zinc dialkyldithiophosphate is 0.3% by mass or more and 2.0% by mass or less, and a content of the potassium borate hydrate is 0.28% by mass or more and 1.9% by mass or less, and wherein a mass ratio of the content of the molybdenum dithiocarbamate to the content of the potassium borate hydrate (molybdenum dithiocarbamate/potassium borate hydrate) is 2 or more and 13 or less, and a mass ratio of the content of the zinc dialkyldithiophosphate to the content of the potassium borate hydrate (zinc dialkyldithiophosphate/potassium borate hydrate) is 0.5 or more and 3.6 or less.
