Abstract:
A tank-in-tank fill level indicator, making use of noninvasive tank-in-tank measuring techniques. A vibration device, such as an exciter or resonator, vibrates the outer tank at its natural frequency of vibration, thereby inducing the vibration of the inner tank and a beating effect as a result of the interaction of the vibrations of the two tanks. A vibration detection device, such as an accelerometer, detects the resultant beating effect of the two tanks' induced vibrations. A data processing device, such as a microcontroller, processes the detection data to obtain the liquid volume. A display, wired or wireless data transmission device, or combination thereof, is then used to provide tank or container fill-level information.

Abstract:
An assembly including a cryogenic fluid tank for a space vehicle and a thermal protection system for a cryogenic fluid tank of the space vehicle, the system including: a shell adapted to surround the cryogenic fluid tank, the shell being dimensioned to define an inside space between the shell and the tank; and an injector for injecting a cooling fluid spray into the inside space; the cooling fluid being injected into the inside space in the liquid state at a temperature that is adapted to ensure that the cooling fluid picks up the heat flux reaching the cryogenic fluid tank, thereby causing the cooling fluid to vaporize, the shell having a plurality of orifices adapted to allow the cooling fluid in gaseous form to leave inside space through the shell.

Abstract:
A system and method enable intelligent refuelling of a pressurised vessel. The method includes receiving a gas at a refuelling port, wherein the refuelling port is coupled to the pressure vessel; determining a temperature 5 of the pressure vessel; determining a pressure of the pressure vessel; directing the gas through a nozzle, wherein the pressure vessel and nozzle are thermally coupled such that Joule-Thomson expansion of a gas flowing through the nozzle cools an interior cavity of the pressure vessel; and controlling a shut-off valve according to an amount of gas in the pressure 10 vessel determined according to the temperature and pressure, wherein the shut-off valve is located between the refuelling port and the pressure vessel, for controlling a flow of gas between the refuelling port and the pressure vessel.

The hole making system includes a hand unit for making holes on the collar of the cylinder and the hand unit being configured to be used with two hands. The hole making system further includes a control unit configured to control operation of the hand unit. The hole making system further includes a pedal configured to enable a user to control the operation of the hand unit with a foot. The hand unit is held and controlled with two hands and a drilling command is provided by the pedal, allowing the user to control the hand unit in a more reliable manner.
Abstract:
measurement device for monitoring the level of liquefied gas in a canister is described. The device comprises an array of at least three temperature sensors, configured to be mounted externally of the canister to extend from a first position on the canister to a second position on the canister. The device also comprises detection circuitry for detecting, when gas is released from the canister causing a temperature drop at the liquid-gas interface within the canister, a subset of the temperature sensors measuring a lower temperature than the remainder of the temperature sensors, and for identifying a current level of the liquefied gas in the canister based on the position within the array of the subset of the temperature sensors detected as measuring a lower temperature. This arrangement can be retrofitted to any canister, without the need to modify the canister or change the valve arrangement.
