Abstract:
A control system for use with a processor includes: (i) a controller configured to receive prediction information for a predicted temperature associated with the processor, and to determine a speed of operation for the processor based at least on a thermal model of the processor and the predicted temperature, where the speed supports an operational objective of the processor; and (ii) an error estimator that is separate from the controller, and that is configured to receive temperature information obtained from the processor operating at the speed, to determine updated prediction information based, at least in part, on the temperature information, and to output the updated prediction information to the controller.
Abstract:
Synthesis of platinum(II) di(2-pyrazolyl)benzene chloride and analogs includes forming a 1,3-di-substituted benzene including two aromatic five-membered heterocycles, and reacting the 1,3-di-substituted benzene with an acidic platinum-containing solution to form a luminescent platinum(II) complex. The luminescent platinum(II) complex is capable of emitting blue and white light and can be used as an emitter in a light emitting device.

The present disclosure relates to novel fusion proteins that bind to the HIV-1 gp120 antigen. The present disclosure also relates to nucleic acids, plasmids and host cells that comprise a sequence that encodes the fusion proteins of the disclosure. The fusion proteins of the disclosure can be used in applications to detect the presence of HIV-1 gp120 protein, to detect an HIV-1 infection and to monitor treatment of an HIV-1 infection.
Abstract:
Devices and methods for brain modulation are provided herein. A device may comprise a body and components for activating the brain. Such components include ultrasound transducers. The devices are used to provide ultrasound waves to brain structures in a subject wearing a device for methods to treat traumatic brain injury, affect postural control, affect wakefulness, attention, and alertness, to provide memory control, to alter cerebrovascular hemodynamics, to minimize stress, and to reinforce behavioral actions.
Abstract:
The present invention comprises methods and devices for modulating the activity or activities of living cells, such as cells found in or derived from humans, animals, plants, insects, microorganisms and other organisms. Methods of the present invention comprise use of the application of ultrasound, such as low intensity, low frequency ultrasound, to living cells to affect the cells and modulate the cells' activities. Devices of the present invention comprise one or more components for generating ultrasound waves, such as ultrasonic emitters, transducers or piezoelectric transducers, composite transducers, CMUTs, and which may be provided as single or multiple transducers or in an array configurations. The ultrasound waves may be of any shape, and may be focused or unfocused.
