    Abstract: Techniques are generally described related to management of power consumption for a processor. One example method may include identifying a target operating constraint and a first operating parameter; determining a second operating parameter based on the target operating constraint and the first operating parameter; estimating an actual operating constraint; comparing the target operating constraint and the actual operating constraint; and setting up the first operating parameter and the second operating parameter of the processor based on a comparison of the target operating constraint and the actual operating constraint, wherein the target operating constraint is not a worst-case operating constraint. Other examples of methods, systems, and computer programs related to managing power consumption for a processor are also contemplated.

    Abstract: Technologies are generally described for providing a fully homomorphic public key encryption scheme. In some examples, a method performed under control of a transmitter may include receiving, from a server, a system parameter; selecting a secret decryption key corresponding to the transmitter; generating a first public encryption key for the transmitter, based at least in part on the secret decryption key corresponding to the transmitter and the system parameter; receiving, from the server, a public encryption key corresponding to a receiver; enciphering a message into a first ciphertext, based at least in part on the public encryption key corresponding to the receiver and the secret decryption key corresponding to the transmitter; and transmitting, to a data processing device, a request to process the message by processing the first ciphertext that corresponds to the message into a second ciphertext without deciphering the first ciphertext.

    Abstract: A system to identity at least a property of a substance located in an object, or located on a surface of the object, is generally described. The system may include an electromagnetic radiation (EMR) source arranged to selectively emit EMR at more than one wavelength to illuminate the surface of the object. The system may include an EMR sensor arranged to sense EMR returned from the surface and to use the returned EMR to provide an output signal that represents an image taken of the surface, the image including a plurality of pixels. The system may include a processor system arranged to compare information that is indicative of the output signal of the EMR sensor with reference information indicative of the property of the substance. The processor system may be arranged to select a first wavelength to illuminate the surface by the EMR source, and subsequently select at least one further wavelength based on whether the information concerning the property is obtained as a result of use of a preceding wavelength. The processor system may be arranged to compensate fur an influence of ambient light on the at least one surface, and may be arranged to compensate for motion of the object relative to the EMR sensor.

    Abstract: Technologies are generally described for detection of incidental robot-human contact. In some examples, a robotic actuator movement may generate a feedback signal, such as a haptic signal, a proprioreceptive signal, an optical signal, and/or an infrared signal. A tremor detector may determine whether the feedback signal contains a tremor signal characteristic of a human, for example by determining whether frequency components in the feedback signal fall within particular frequency ranges. Upon determining that the feedback signal does contain a tremor signal characteristic of a human, the tremor detector may conclude that the robotic actuator has come into contact with a human, and may cause the actuator to halt its movement.
