    摘要: A personal and portable emergency warning system, comprised of a unique emergency tonal sequence transmission means, and an emergency tonal sequence receiver. The receiver is for use by an individual user or for work spaces and is compact and easily transportable by the users anywhere. The receiver is powered by either AC or DC power and is adapted to work on either both 110 HZ and for international use, 220 HZ power sources, or alternatively a DC voltage battery power source. The receiver is adapted to receive local broadcasts in AM and FM mode as well as world wide frequency options. The receiver is coupled to a microprocessor capable of recognizing the emergency tonal sequence and amplifying it to alert the user. The microprocessor controls the operating functions of the receiver. The unique proprietary tonal sequence is broadcast by a local station that participates in the system by purchasing or subscribing to the tone.

    摘要: A mine door system for closing a mine doorway comprises a door hinged adjacent the doorway for swinging relative to the stopping between a closed position and an open position swung outwardly away from the stopping. A keeper is mounted in fixed position relative to the doorway. The system further comprises a trigger-actuated latch mechanism including a detent engageable with the keeper for latching the door in its closed position and a trigger operably connected to the detent in a latched position. The mechanism is constructed and configured so that actuation of the trigger causes the detent to move from a latched position in which the detent engages the keeper for latching the door closed to an unlatched position in which the detent is disengaged from the keeper for allowing the door to be opened.

    摘要: The disclosed technology can identify indicia associated with different entity types that interact within an industry, identify one or more relationships (e.g., contractual provisions) that can affect interactions between such entity types, and identify transactions associated with one or more of the interactions. Further, the identified transactions can be organized into one or more transaction sequences. The identified indicia, the one or more identified relationships, and the one or more transaction sequences can then be associated to form a semantic network. An instance of the semantic network can be formed in response to the execution of at least some of the transaction sequence and can serve, at least in part, as the basis for processing requests associated with the entities. The requests can correspond to interactions associated with the entities and may be represented in a natural language format, exhibiting a fixed context and a fixed grammar.

    摘要: A welding hood is provided with a periscopic view piece to provide an elevated effective line of sight for viewing over and around objects during welding operations. The welding hood includes a face mask and a head band or other support which supports and positions the mask on the welder's head. A view piece includes an objective window which is normally tinted or filtered to protect the welder's eyes from brilliant light, a first mirror behind the objective window, and a second, lower mirror oriented to reflect the image passing through the objective window and reflected by the first mirror to the second mirror along the welder's unaided line of sight. The first mirror may be tiltably mounted to increase the field of view, and the objective window and the first mirror may be mounted on a housing coupled to the remainder of the mask by an extensible member such as a bellows to permit the welder to adjust the displacement between the first mirror and the second mirror and thus the displacement between the effective line of sight and his unaided line of sight.

    摘要: A mine door system including a door frame to be installed in a mine passageway to define a generally rectangular doorway. A mine door is defined by a pair of generally rectangular door leafs which are hinged on the door frame at opposite sides of the doorway for swinging between an open position to permit passage through the doorway and a closed position in which the door leafs are generally coplanar and close the doorway. The door leafs are so dimensioned that there is a substantial vertical gap between the door leafs when they are closed to accommodate convergence of side walls of the passageway. A relatively wide vertical sealing flap is secured to one of the door leafs for overlapping a face of the other door leaf when the door is closed for covering the gap between the door leafs. A power mechanism for opening and closing the door leafs is operable to control the sequence in which the door leafs close so that the door leaf carrying the sealing flap closes after the other door leaf for ensuring that the sealing flap closes against the face of the other door leaf.
