    摘要: The present invention provides a material recovering method in which an attached member attached to at least one surface of a glass substrate is removed from the glass substrate so that the glass substrate is recovered. The method includes: a step A of crushing part of the glass substrate so that a glass fragment is formed; and a step B of allowing the glass fragment to impact against the attached member so as to detach and remove the attached member from the glass substrate. This method allows an attached member attached to a glass substrate to be removed at low cost and achieves an improved yield of the glass substrate.

    摘要: An internal magnetic shield includes a pair of opposing long side walls (1), a pair of opposing short side walls (2), and an opening (3) enclosed by these side walls in the center. The short side walls (2) are provided with notches (4) having a substantially home-plate shape. This configuration can reduce mislanding of an electron beam on the entire screen and easily balance the amount of mislanding due to geomagnetism in the tube-axis direction and in the horizontal direction perpendicular to the tube axis. As a result, a cathode ray tube capable of displaying images without displacement and unevenness of colors can be provided.

    摘要: An electron beam apparatus comprises an electron beam source, a unit for irradiating an electron beam on a specimen, a detector for secondary electrons, an electrode for generating an electric field sufficient to draw out secondary electrons in a recess in the specimen from the recess, and a unit for generating a magnetic field for focusing secondary electrons drawn out of the recess. With this construction, the secondary electrons drawn out of the recess by the electric field reach the detector without being attracted by the electrode. By adopting this construction, a contact hole of high aspect ratio formed in a semiconductor device and having a small diameter and a large depth can be observed.

    摘要: Image processing conditions for scanning and processing an original by an electronic process scanner are set by an external image processing condition setting apparatus wherein a first system of coordinates is prepared in the scanner for processing, and a second system of coordinates is prepared in the image processing condition setting apparatus for position setting. An original cylinder is commonly used by both the scanner and apparatus, and by using a marked line formed on the surface of the cylinder as a reference position, both systems of coordinates are matched. A visual monitoring device which projects an image of a register mark onto the surface of the original cylinder is used in setting the image processing conditions. The visual monitoring device magnifies the image of the mark and a peripheral area of the surface of the cylinder, thereby enabling an operator to accurately locate a given position on the cylinder.
