摘要: An appliance for the gasification of carbon- and ash-containing fuel, residual and waste materials using an oxygen-containing oxidizing agent at temperatures above the melting point of the inorganic fractions, in a reaction chamber which is designed as an entrained-bed reactor, at pressures between atmospheric pressure and 80 bar, preferably between atmospheric pressure and 30 bar, the contour of the reaction chamber being delimited by a cooled reactor wall. The cooled reactor wall having the following structure, from the outside inward: a pressure shell, a cooling wall, a water-cooled gap between the pressure shell and the cooling wall, a ceramic protection for the cooling wall, and a layer of slag. The pressure and temperature of the cooling gap between the pressure shell and the cooling wall is controlled in such a way that it can be operated above and below the boiling point of the cooling water. The pressure in the cooling gap is higher than the pressure in the gasification chamber.

摘要: An apparatus and process for regenerating a liquid from a spent liquid containing sodium compounds created during kraft processing for pulping wood while simultaneously obtaining energy. Regeneration begins by gasifying said sodium compounds in a gasification reaction chamber at a temperature greater than the melting temperature of the sodium compounds and generating a gasification gas and salt melt. The gasification gas and salt melt are then directly cooled to a temperature greater than the dew point in the quenching chamber by spraying a cooling liquid which, in turn, causes gaseous condensate to form a bath in the quenching chamber which may also include water from kraft processing. The salt melt dissolves in the bath to produce an aqueous solution. This aqueous solution is then cooled and diluted with alkali liquid produced during the kraft process. Then the diluted aqueous solution is subjected to flashing and emerges as a regenerated liquid free of organic components to be used again in the wood pulping process. Simultaneously, the gasification gas from the quenching chamber is indirectly cooled thereby producing energy through at least one of steam and hot water and subsequently desulfurized.

摘要: A thermal shielding for covers and bottoms of gas generators and other reaction vessels intended to operate at elevated temperature and pressure is disclosed wherein the cover or bottom comprises an extension, integral with the reaction vessel, with an outer closure supporting a plurality of spaced guide tubes having fluid jackets at the inner ends thereof, the fluid jackets of a plurality of circumferentially spaced guide tubes being interconnected by concentrically spaced heat transfer tubes substantially aligned with the inner surface of the reaction vessel, the fluid jacket of one of said guide tubes being divided by baffle means into separate chambers respectively connected with supply and discharge lines for cooling fluid to be circulated through said plurality of fluid jackets and concentric connecting tubes whereby effective cooling is achieved at inner ends of said guide tubes with a minimum of congestion externally of the vessel cover or bottom. In instances where there is need for a guide tube centrally of the cover or bottom, such guide tube has a fluid jacket at the inner end thereof which closely engages fluid jackets of the circumferentially spaced guide tubes and is provided with separate supply and discharge lines for cooling fluid. The space surrounding the guide tubes between the outer closure and heat transfer tubes is preferably filled with heat insulating material.

摘要: There is described a reactor for entrained flow gasification for operation with dust-type or liquid fuels, wherein a number of gasification burners are disposed away from the reactor axis, with the center line of a gasification burner having an oblique position that is other than parallel to the reactor axis, it being possible for said oblique position to extend at different angles up to an angle of 90°. The center line does not necessarily have to intersect the reactor axis; rather the center line can pass the reactor axis at a predetermined distance. This arrangement is associated with a significant reduction in the unwanted discharge of dust-type fine slag, which is difficult to utilize, in conjunction with the possibility of reducing the reactor diameter due to its structure.

摘要: A powder injection system for use in pulverized coal gasification under pressure is provided. The powder injection system includes a reservoir for stocking the pulverized coal, a plurality of power injection tubes and a metering unit. A mixture of nitrogen and carbon dioxide is fed to the components that are at operating pressure, namely the powder injection tube and the metering unit, as the inerting and flow medium or fluidizing medium. The nitrogen and carbon dioxide mixture-carrying components are heated in such a manner that the temperature is above the threshold of the diphase range. A method is also provided. The method allows reduction of the nitrogen content in the product gas, which nitrogen is caused by the powder injection system, especially when used in pulverized coal gasification under pressure to produce a synthesis gas for the production of different hydrocarbons.

摘要: A device for utilizing combustion, residual and waste materials containing carbon and ash by gasification with an oxygen-containing oxidizing agent at temperatures above the melting point of the inorganic parts in a reaction chamber and at a pressure between ambient pressure and 60 bar. The reaction chamber contour is formed in part by a refractory-grade lining and in part by a cooling system comprising cooling coils connected in a gas-tight manner. The coils are coated with a thin layer of a ceramic mass that conducts heat well on a side facing the reaction chamber. The cooling coils are operated, while being cooled by pressurized water, below or above the boiling point of the cooling water.
