    摘要: The disclosure is for an easily assembled heat exchanger using an internal porous metal pad. The heat exchanger is constructed of two halves attached at their heat transfer surfaces. Each half includes a pan shaped casing, a pad of sintered porous metal, a manifold block with channels, and a lid. The porous pad is mounted between the heat transfer surface of the casing and the manifold. The lid includes input and output fluid holes which are connected to sets of alternating channels in the manifold block, so that adjacent channels are isolated from each other and are connected to only either the input or the output holes so that the fluid must flow through the pad. An alternative embodiment has the casings of the two halves formed as a single part.

    摘要: A heat-exchanger is provided that comprises a fin core formed from a continuous sheet of thermally conductive material that has been folded into alternating flat ridges and troughs defining spaced fin walls having peripheral end edges wherein each of the fin walls has a thickness of about 0.020 inches of its length. The heat-exchanger may include at least one air-barrier plate fastened to the flat ridges on a first side of the fin core and a liquid-barrier plate fastened to the flat ridges on a second side of the fin core. A pair of end caps are sealingly fastened to and cover the peripheral end edges of the fin core so as to form a plurality of input and exit openings that communicate with the troughs. The fin wall thickness of about 0.002 inches to about 0.020 inches of its length is such that polymer materials may be selected from the group consisting of polyhalo-olefins, polyamides, polyolefins, poly-styrenes, polyvinyls, poly-acrylates, polymethacrylates, polypropylene, polyesters, polystyrenes, polydienes, polyoxides, polyamides and polysulfides, for use in forming the fin core.

    摘要: In a double heat exchange, a radiator and a condenser are integrated through a side plate for reinforcing the radiator and the condenser, and a longitudinal dimension of condenser tubes is made smaller than a longitudinal dimension of radiator tubes. Therefore, a core area of the condenser becomes smaller than that of the radiator. Thus, heat-exchanging capacity of the condenser is restricted from being increased more than a necessary capacity, and size and performance of the double heat exchanger are restricted from being increased more than necessary conditions.
