Abstract:
The convenience of operation is improved and the occurrence of connection failure between a connection-target terminal of an electric appliance and a connection terminal is reduced without requiring a complicated arrangement such as a fitting structure. A microphone charging device has a dustproof shutter provided so as to be movable with a microphone device setting/drawing-off operation between a covering position covering a charging terminal portion and an exposure position exposing the charging terminal portion, a torsion spring applies a fundamental urging force to the shutter between the covering position and exposure position, and plate springs apply additional urging force to the shutter in addition to the fundamental urging force in an additional urging section provided between the covering position and exposure position and thereby sets the shutter in an additionally urged state. When the shutter reaches the exposure position, the plate springs release the shutter from the additionally urged state.
Abstract:
A resin molding mold 20 with a cavity 21 has a resin injection port 29a from which a molding resin 25 is injected toward the cavity 21, and an air release port 30a from which air from the cavity 21 is released during resin injection. Not only the resin injection port 29a but also the air release port 30a is formed in a top surface portion 21a of the cavity 21. Thus, even if a resin burr remains in the resin injection port 29a or the air release port 30a, it can be prevented from adhering to an external terminal 4A provided on a front surface portion 2a of the substrate 2.

A thin film magnetic head is providing for recording with less blur having a high recording magnetic field, for use in a recording/reproduction separation type magnetic head and a magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus. The thin film magnetic head, in which a gap film of a recording head and a magnetic film in contact with the gap film have the same track width, includes an upper magnetic film of the recording head and an upper shield film of a magnetic resistive film, each having a width wider than the track width, and a cross section parallel to the air bearing surface of the upper magnetic film is reduced at a position less than a gap depth from the air bearing surface. The thin film magnetic head has a coil conductor sandwiched by a first magnetic film and a fourth magnetic film, a second magnetic body magnetically connected to the first magnetic film, a third magnetic body magnetically connected to the fourth magnetic film, and a magnetic gap sandwiched by the second and third magnetic films, in which an insulating and non-magnetic single film in contact with the second and third magnetic films covers at least the first magnetic film.
Abstract:
An oxygen-permeable polymer is prepared by polymerizing (1) at least one first monomer selected from the group consisting of alkenes of 6-10 carbon atoms having one double bond and one side chain methyl group, and (2) at least one second monomer selected from the group consisting of (fluoro)siloxanylalkyl mono(meth)acrylates, (fluoro)siloxanylalkyl di(meth)acrylates, fluoroalkyl (meth)acrylates, alkyl (meth)acrylates, .alpha.-alkyl- or .alpha.-fluoroalkyl-acrylic acids, alkyl .alpha.-alkylacrylates, alkyl .alpha.-fluoroalkylacrylates, fluoroalkylacrylates, fluoroalkyl .alpha.-fluoroalkylacrylates and fluoroalkyl .alpha.-ackylacrylates, the copolymerization proportions of the first monomer and the second monomer being such that the first monomer ranges from 5-80% by weight and the second monomer ranges from 20-95% by weight. The polymer produced by the process has very high oxygen permeability, is resistant to adhesion and adsorption of staining substances present in lacrima or intraocular solution, and has excellent machinability and grindability.

A multiplex control system has a plurality of control apparatuses, test signal generators provided, respectively, for the control apparatuses for the purpose of internal diagnosis thereof, signal selectors each for selecting a signal to operate a device under control from the signals produced by the control apparatuses, and diagnosis units each for deciding presence or absence of abnormality in the associated signal selector with the aid of the signals inputted to the signal selector and the output signal therefrom.
Abstract:
Jet pumps and a feed water sparger are disposed in a reactor pressure vessel incorporating a core. A first feed water pipe supplies a portion of feed water to the jet pumps as their driving water. A second feed water pipe connected to the first feed water pipe supplies the remaining portion of the feed water to the feed water sparger. A first feed water heater is disposed in the first feed water pipe downstream of a connecting point of the first feed water pipe and the second feed water pipe. An amount of extracted steam introduced into the first feed water heater is controlled on the basis of a difference in the temperature between feed water flowing through the first feed water pipe and the feed water flowing through the second feed water pipe.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a control system for a centrifugal thin film dryer wherein a slurry including solid matter is fed to a tubular heating surface and the a slurry is heated while blades are rotating inside the heating tube so that the a slurry turns into dry powder, the system comprising a plurality of thermal sensors located on the heating surface, a dry-up point calculator which measures the temperature distribution along the heating surface in accordance with the signals provided by the thermal sensors and calculates the point at which the temperature rise begins to saturate, a flow rate setting device which calculates the quantity of a slurry to be supplied in accordance with the output of the dry-up point calculator, and a flow rate regulator which controls a pump in accordance with the signal provided by the flow rate setting device.
Abstract:
The present invention employs as a recording medium a metal or alloy which exhibits an intercrystalline transition before and after writing. In the present invention, two light beams of unequal wavelengths are used so as to write information with the light beam of the longer wavelength and to erase information with the light beam of the shorter wavelength. In changing a written content, a wavelength with which the reflection rate of the recording medium increases is used.
Abstract:
The present invention consists in disposing a first transmission unit in a control panel which is installed in a central control room, and a second transmission unit in a control device which is installed near an equipment to-be-controlled of a plant. The first transmission unit and the second transmission unit are connected by a cable. Each of the first transmission unit and the second transmission unit comprises a transmitter, a receiver, a serializer, a deserializer, change-over means and change-over control means. The serializer, which produces a serial information signal wherein a plurality of received information signals are arrayed in series, is connected to the transmitter. The deserializer separates a serial information signal delivered from the receiver, into a plurality of information signals. The plurality of change-over means connect a plurality of signal transmission cables respectively connected thereto, to the serializer or the deserializer. The plurality of change-over control means control connectional statuses of the corresponding change-over means on the basis of the respective information signals separated and delivered by the deserializer.
Abstract:
There is provided a photodetector wherein charging current to a photodiode is integrated to determine an amount of discharge due to conduction of photoelectric current through the photodiode and thereby to measure intensity of photon flux incident to the photodiode, so that linearity of light input intensity versus output voltage characteristics can be improved and dynamic range of the measurement can be extended.
